"Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to work with you again!"
"Thank you for the wonderful recommendation! We appreciate you as a customer!"
"Thank you so much! We appreciate your business!"
"We find this review not only troubling but very insulting. First of all, this was a very difficult and dangerous tree, it was between two houses and part of the tree was cracked, and we did it at a fantastic price, 1400.00 cheaper than the next lowest bid. In addition to that, we said that the fence had to be removed prior to the start of the job, when we arrived the fence was still in the ground, we took it down and hauled part of it away at no additional charge. In regards to the stump, the stump was completely ground, you wanted additional roots from the stump ground, this was not part of the contract, and we explained that following the roots was not included in the contract and that it is even marked on the contract that it is not included, but we said that we could do it for an additional charge, you acknowledged that you could see this on the contract but said that you felt we should include it and you would give us a bad review on Angie's List since we were not throwing it in for free. The stump mulch removal was also not included on the contract, and this is clearly written on the contract as well, again we offered to haul it away but it would be for an additional fee, as the contract stipulates, our contracts are clearly written and we do everything that is stated on them, to suggest we did anything otherwise is completely untrue. In regards to the yard, taking down large trees will always leave some impression on the lawn, especially a tree with a six foot base, but we even put down plywood in an effort to protect your yard and my crew did an excellent job. The holes that were left were from the fence that we took down for free and when you mentioned the holes you said that you MIGHT trip in the hole,as an incentive to get me to fill the holes for free, these are holes from the fence that I took down for free that should have already been removed before my crew arrived. Your review which states that you almost tripped and fell in this hole and I chuckled implies that I saw you almost trip and fall and I laughed, this never happened, and I find this to be the most insulting part of your statement. I feel that we did an exceptional job on a very dangerous tree at a clearly much lower price than any of my competitors and that your complaints are in retribution for our company not doing additional work for free that was not included in our contract."
"We are very sorry to see that you thought our quality was only a B. We pride ourselves in both our professionalism and industry skill level. Your job was not an average job considering that the tree had fallen across your yard onto a shed and fence. When we used the crane to remove most of the tree, the yard damage was nonexistent, except for the damage caused by the already fallen tree. The reason that we used the bobcat was to move the large portion of trunk that had been set down in your yard, per your request,in order to remove the large bee hive inside the trunk, while working with a bee expert that you suggested. We are very happy to have been a part of rescuing a complete hive of bees since we respect and value their importance to our environment, but if we had not set down the trunk in your yard to facilitate their removal, per your request, we could have simply lifted the entire trunk with the crane out to the front and not used the bobcat at all in your backyard. It is our desire that all of our customers are completely satisfied with our work and we are sorry that you are unhappy with some of it, but please be assured that we did the very best job possible, taking into account the difficulty of the fallen tree and the nature of working with the bees. We appreciate the nature of emergency or storm damage jobs and the stress that they can cause a homeowner, and we try to work with our customers in every way possible, from the estimate process, through the completion of the job and the payment process while waiting for insurance checks to clear. We try to do our very best to work with a customer on every aspect of the job taking all variables into account."
"We are troubled and confused that you feel dissatisfied about your job. We always explain upon the initial estimate that stump debris removal is not included in the contract unless it is specifically marked because there is an additional fee. We do this because most of our customers, because of the savings involved, would prefer to move the mulch themselves. While we understand that once you saw the amount of debris left behind from such a large tree that you did not feel that you would be able to move the mulch, this was the choice that was made at the initial signing of the contract. After you saw the amount of mulch present at the completion of the job, you did state that you would like it to be removed and we explained that our price would be higher but one of our employees could do it for you on his own time at a cheaper price in the effort to save you some of the cost. This is the situation that occurred in this instance. Our company prides itself on professional work, we have a long reputation in this community of doing quality work at reasonable prices with customer service as our goal. We feel that we were upfront in our pricing and tried to come to a solution that would be beneficial to you, we are very sorry that you do not feel the same."
I called Reliable Tree Service on either 3 or 4 September and Rob came out that evening to give me a free estimate. Rob provided me with two estimates; one that included removing the tree limbs and the other estimate was for just cutting the limbs down and leaving them on the property. As money is tight, I opted for just cutting the tree limbs down and leaving them there. Rob was also willing to negotiate his estimate and we agreed on a lower price. Rob was also willing to do the job on Saturday, 6 September.
The only snafu occurred when they were delayed on an earlier job and had to come over a bit later than originally expected. The good thing was Rob called to let me know they would be delayed then called again when he knew when they would be over.
When the crew arrived they began working right away. They got the job done quickly and safely. The crew was professional, polite, and hard working. They even cut the larger limbs into more manageable sizes for me after they were on the ground. I greatly appreciated that.
I will definitely consider Reliable Tree Service for future jobs.
Although not proactive on keeping us updated, the owner was always very responsive when we called him to get updates.
They did a good job despite all the delays and came back to regrind the stump when it was discovered that it had not been ground down enough.
I would recommend and use this company again, but I would be sure to give myself plenty of time to get the job done, since work like this is so weather dependant.
