They then worked steadily yet always took time to answer any questions we had. We were very
impressed with Chris?s knowledge, attention to detail and ability to explain things as they were
happening. They also finished up by making the piece of the yard impacted look quite good.
We thought the cost was very reasonable given all that they did.
In short, we?re very glad we chose Precipitation Unlimited to do this project and

Glen had been taking care of our sprinklers for about 10 years and we have been very happy with his service.
We recently redesigned our backyard and front yard with new paved paths , patios and a new garage .As a result, we had to turn off some sprinklers, remove , move some and add new ones.Then the pump died (just after we reseeded !!) It was a big job and Glen raised to the challenge.He had the pump replaced within days,in time for the seeds to grow, worked around the schedule of the cement layers and all was done in good time and good humor.He was very punctual all through the project. Glen and his team were very pleasant and a pleasure to work with.
I would definitely recommend him and use his services again.
OK once they understood the problem.
When I made the appointment and asked about cost, I was told "if he can fix your problem in less than an hour, and we don't have to replace any parts, it is only $65." This was good, because my problem was a mis-wired selanoid. No digging was required, everything was open and exposed and I replaced all of the dirt, grass, etc. He simply needed to remove two or three pigtails, test the wires and move a common wire from one pig tail set to the other. In the process, I was told the selanoid "might" be bad, so he changed it out. FYI, selanoids are $12-$17 at Home Depot/Lowes.. I had already replaced two or three on my own. In the end, he said he believed the "common wire" was the real problem, but I didn't demand he replace my old selanoid (in hindsight I wish had). After pigtailing the wires on these zones, we went to the other side of the house. There he screwed the top off of a control valve and replaced an old diaphram (a $5 part at HD or Lowes). Total time, one hour and 15 minutes.
When I get the bill/invoice via email, it is for nearly $190, but since I am an Angie's List customer, it will only be $168.00. I had expected it to be $100-$120, but thought $168.00 was pretty high for the work performed. It took a few days to get a hold of the main office. I called and had to leave several messages. When I spoke with them several days later and expained my concern, they reduced the bill to $144. Still a little pricey in my opinion, but better than $168.00. The lady, who was very polite, explained their selanoids cost them $30, which is why they can warranty the part. Ok, but that still seems pricey.
BOTTOM LINE: They DO GOOD WORK, but they are pricey. If you have to contact their main office, you may have to leave a message. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day, but as I recall I had to leave a message when I scheduled them but they called back quickly. Would I use them again" Maybe. Perhaps it is a case of "you get what you pay for" but be prepared for a little sticker shock if they have to replace any parts.
