Quality of work (by a sub-contractor) seems to be very good. However, when seeking bids I specifically asked for them to include the roof of my neighbor's garage which is attached to mine. Work was completed while I was on 12-day vacation. When I returned I discovered that the neighbor's roof had not been done despite the fact that there were 210 shingles left, approximately enough to complete the job. When I called the company, they insisted that the garage roof had not been included in the bid. In order to get the job completed I had to pay an additional $400 to cover the cost of labor. The company was to supply materials. The garage was completed within two days using less than one additional package of shingles, which along with roofing felt, nails, etc., cost the company less than $100. My neighbor & I both feel that we have been ripped off!!

I have had very few repairs necessary at this house in the last decade, so when I hire someone, I pay close attention to their performance. The crew arrived a little late, but they called first and informed me of this. Once they got here, they tried to make up for it by working almost non stop the rest of the day. The roof replacement took about two days in total; the yard was cleaned, and they did an excellent job of it. I would consider this project to be a success.
