Monarch movers

Recently hired Monarch to move only heavy furniture and washer and dryer. Asked specifically for professional movers not laborers and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had moving. Charged us $75 for moving blankets and they brought maybe 7 blankets with holes all over some of them and they didn’t use them on the important things. They piled up the drawers form all my dressers in crazy stacks in the truck instead of putting them back in the dressers for the drive to save space. Not only did they not know how to pack a truck or how to properly move heavy furniture, but they FLIPPED MY WASHING MACHINE UPSIDE DOWN to get it up the stairs in our new home and then basically told my husband that we were lying about that. Dumped water on the stairs and broke the washer. Washing machine still doesn’t work and have to have a technician come out a second time to try to fix it. Have a loveseat sized hide a bed couch that the movers couldn’t figure out how to pick up. My husband had to be on one end while they had two men on the other side and they dropped it a number of times. That couch was supposed to go up to the bonus room upstairs and they said they were not able or willing to bring it upstairs. The movers were nice people but were not professional movers by any means and this job was not worth the $700 I paid for it. The owner of the company Wayne could care less that his movers did such a subpar job. My husband tried to talk to him like a professional and was dismissed. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

From the initial point of contact to the end of services, they were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. The three gentlemen that came to help me unpack two PODS containers were Supermen! They unloaded a 16' and 7' container in two hours. They were fast and efficient. I highly recommend them and would have no doubt in hiring them again!

Were very good....only negative was, we were told that they would wear mask and gloves and wear a suit, but they came with none of the above and said they would wear mask and gloves if we provided them, which we did....our cost......!! Think they should be honest about what we should expect during the coronavirus outbreak.

The movers were spectacular. They worked quickly and efficiently. Very nice, professional, and came ready to work. I appreciate all of their hard work. I would definitely rehire for future services.

They were fantastic. They were prompt, reliable, polite, and neat. They knew what they were doing. They wanted the work to be done. They were light to be around. They were so nice.

They were amazing, generous, and respectful. They were there to do the work. It was not stressful. They were funny. They made me laugh.

I hired Monarch Movers 2x in the same week to assist with moving my items from a Condo and a garage. Both appointments were for 0900. The crew arrived at 0920. The workers were very nice, accommodating and helpful. However, when dealing with Wayne, (the owner) be sure to get everything that you discuss with him regarding rates and moving restrictions in writing! He makes empty promises, excuses, and changes the rules as he goes for his benefit. He is not a good communicator and it creates a lot of confusion between the customer and the work crew. He advertises on his truck that they offer free boxes. Each time there were no boxes on the truck. Then he wanted to charge me extra for wrapping my mirror! There was no blue carpet rolled out to over my laminate flooring. The second time I used Monarch Movers, he sent a 25' UHaul truck that was over half full with items belonging with another customer!!! They arrived at 0945 for what was a 0900 appointment. There wasn't enough room for all of my items! The owner gets defensive when you call him on discrepancies. I was also overcharged. I paid over $1700! Wayne is arrogant and talks in a condescending manner to women. Hiring a moving company is supposed to help make moving less stressful. This was not the case. I was very disappointed I had high expectations of Monarch since they are veteran-owned. I would not use again!

I never ended up using this company, my car needed service and put me in a bind... I called the company and explained. They offered other ways but it was just out of my means. The company demonstrated excellent customer service from start to finish and happily refunded my deposit. If I ever need a moving company in the future, I will definitely call them!!!
