MERCURY'S FLOORING SERVICE

There were problems from the beginning. I first requested an acrylic surround to save money; when I went to sign the contract the installer stated he wouldn't install an acrylic surround. I finally agreed to a tile surround after being promised 3 soap dish inserts at no cost (the cost of tile raised the price of the estimate $300). After the demolition work was complete, the tiler realized the estimate didn't provide for a high enough surround. He was able to increase the height of the surround, but I had to pay for another box of tile. The estimator didn't tell me I'd need baseboard molding, the demolition crew put a bad gouge in the door trim, & it took 3 tries to get the sink installed (it's still not 100% right but I'm tired of dealing with it). I've chosen not to bring any of this to the company as I feel it's partly my fault for not giving clear expectations, but it's left a sour taste overall. The actual tile work looks good; I'd hire them again for tile work only.

Mercury did an excellent job of installing the flooring. It was level and well-installed. There was one bad place, but as soon as I noticed it and called them, they came and fixed it right away. They were helpful and professional.

They tile was level and the grout lines were smooth when they were done. They were nice people who listened to my requests. They cleaned up their whole mess when they were finished. I have been using Mercury for a long time and they also did other things besides flooring.
