I had Leslie's Pools come out when we started having a problem of lack of suction in either the pump or filter. First visit he charged me $65 to tell me to change the sand in the filter. Nope, wasn't the problem. Called Dave back, he seemed to not really care too much about finding out what the problem was as he supposedly diagnosed the problem over phone, yes we both thought this was kind of weird, but didn't challenge it. He says he talked to his maintenance supervisor and that person told him it was the sand filter. Well, we paid over $500 to get the filter replaced Tuesday, it is now Saturday the water is green and there is no suction once again, no flow. It was not the filter, we did question him several times if he was sure it was not the pump since the that would be the most obvious reason for no suction, he assured us it was the filter. I have now order a pump, which we will replace and hope that works. If not I will call Douglas Aquatics, who I wish I could through in the first place. He also did not tell me until after paying that he is paid by the job, not by the hour. I'm dismayed even to this day why companies such as this have employees who have no idea what they are doing and put of an attitude that you are bothering them. **I want to make sure that people understand this was the service department, not the store which is the address listed above. The stores has always been very helpful and kind, with great customer service. There are several stores in the area, but service is a totally different department. I just did not have an address for that.** 8/20/13: This review is a couple of weeks late, but still wanted to put it here. We received the pump from the company we ordered it from and figured we could put it in ourselves, well when we went to look at the plumbing Dave had fixed the pipes in such a way that we could not change it ourselves. After finding we couldn't change it I called the service supervisor (john) was great to work with, he calmed me down, listened to all the complaints and then told us he would send out another service member to install the pump and would not charge us for the piping or service fee. The guy came out a few days later and wah-la that was the problem. I was very impressed with John, he absolutely know how to handle an upset counselor, get to the root of the problem and make the customer happy. He was great to deal with and I have every intention of writing to his boss, to let him know how great he was to work with. My only hope with this situation is that they fire Dave, I feel his dealing with us was not on the up and up.
Description of Work: Diagnosed problem (or said he did), replaced sand filter. Update from 7/23/12, 8/20/13. new pump put in.
