I pulled my front bumper very loose on a concrete parking barrier on a Saturday when car repair services are hard to find. Goode's was on Angie's list and came to my rescue. Not only did they fix my car while I waited, they were also very kind and pleasant to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Auto Transmission Service
This did not go well, 8 months after it was put in the transmission went out. They sold me what i was told was a low mileage transmission, and they gave me a 6 month warranty. I had them do some other work on the car a couple of weeks ago, and after I drove away from the shop it started making a weird noise. I went right back and was told that the issue was a transmission. I was told I am outside of the warranty period, but the manager Jamie told me he thought that it would not be a problem to take care of me. I finally heard back from him a week later and was told that they would not cover it.

"Spoke to the supplier of the transmission, supplier stated that if it were within a reasonable amount of time they would do all possible to cover the part. After a complete investigation of his records it was discovered that the part had been placed into the vehicle at an approximate time of eleven (11) months prior. The warranty placed on this vehicle at time of service was six (6) months. This is an unfortunate happening for both the customer and Goode's Automotive. We strive to make our customers happy. Unfortunately, we sometimes are not capable of succeeding at this. We hope that (member name removed) can see that we've tried really hard to make this situation one that pleases him and returns to us for further repairs. Sincerely, Jammie L. Goode"

For last 3-4 months I have had a very bad noise in right front of my van. My mechanic in Va Beach has replaced the strut and mount 3 times, took it to a frame shop and still couldn't find the problem. Jamie, at Goode's told me it still was the strut and mount. So my mechanic in Va Beach replace it one more time and problem was still there. I called Jamie again and set up appt. for Thursday. he found the problem. Something to do with the spring rubbing the strut. Did some welding and now it is perfect. NO MORE NOISE. Thank you Jamie. I can now ride in peace and quiet.

after finding them on Angie's list I called around 8:30 and asked if they would be able to check my brakes today. Jimie said bring it in and I arrived around 9:00. He checked all brakes and said they were just fine and asked about the noise in the right front wheel. I told him I have had it in for that problem 3 times and the garage has replaced everything there and still couldn't fix it. he asked me if I wanted him to take a look and I said sure. He came back and told me the strut and mount were bad and he could see where they had been replaced. He said he put a scope on it and could tell that the strut and mount were not lined up properly and would rub every time the car moved. They have replaced this strut 2 times. He told me exactly what to tell the other garage to fix my problem. I will call them today to setup an appointment. Thanks for the expert service and knowledge. This is now my new mechanic!

The service at Goods went very well! The rear wheel barring was replaced by another company on March 9th prior to my visit to Goods. I took it back to this same company on March 10th and told them that something was still not right. They told me that the caliber was worn out. They went ahead and replaced the caliber, but it still did not sound right. At this point they told me that it was just road noise. I trusted this company as they are nationally known. When I took my car into Jamie at Goods on April 15th, he told me that the noise wasn't road noise but the right hub barring was worn out which was making the car unsafe to drive. By replacing all of the items above the car has run better that it ever has! jamie saved my life again!

It went well. Jamie diagnosed that the car was unsafe to drive, due to the braking issue. He also determined that another nationally known company did not fix my breaks properly three days prior. Jamie determined that there was air in the break line and he bled the breaks. He was able to fix the problems that another company had missed. He is knowledgeable in his field, and I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

We were told that if we purchased the car that day, they would replace a cracked door hinge and also replace two worn tires. We put the car on on our credit card and came back the following Monday to pick up the car. The tires were replaced, however, the hinge was not. Jamie, one of the owner's said, "I oiled it, for you." I told him, that is not what we agreed on. Furthermore, we were told, the title for the vehicle would be in that week. We were going to finance the car through our credit union for our son to help build his credit. We had to make numerous calls back to Goodes, to which one one them told my husband they had 30 days to produce a title legally. This is true, however, they produced the title on the last Friday on the 28th day before the temporary registration ran out. My son was constantly getting pulled over by the police because the tags had fallen off. They did fax us over another copy, but they kept giving us the run around. It got to the point where we were unable to drive the car, and we had to work with our bank to hold off on my son's loan. They finally fixed the car hinge only after weekly calls on the 28th day. They may sell you a car, but make sure they produce the title and you have everything before you drive off the lot. I thought I trusted these guys. If you talk to the woman there, she was very rude to my husband, and yelled at him. Jesse, on the other hand, seemed like he was in a rock between a hard place. You feel kind of bad for him.
