Same as other reviewers on this site; I have left numerous voice messages and also contacted them through their website. I received an automated e-mail thanking me for contacting them and saying they would be in touch shortly and then they never responded. Very, very disappointed. I will call the cabinet maker who referred me and make sure he knows not to refer anyone else to them.

It was okay. I just didn't think that the finish that they used matched the rest of the chair. It just kind of stood out. It's the wrong color. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. I think that the price was fine. I would probably not use them in the future.

It's taking a long time but it's kind of mutual, we've been in contact weekly basis. The price is good. They had our estimate for that furniture and it was a lot more than that. They're pleasant people to work with.

"The repairs to the stool was actually a process called rushing. Wood fiber rushing is used to wrap the void using a figure 8 pattern. Initially the rope is very tightly wrapped and will loosen/release a little with use and age. You can only squeeze a certain amount of rope into the space without having the rope bunch on top of itself. Once you reach this point, you are finished. Some restorers add cardboard between the layers to fill any voids. For more information please contact me, Susan Price at 757-874-2858."

Meeting Susan was a completely enjoyable experience.   Her personality and knowledge were true to her web site - she obviously loves doing what she does.  She was very accommodating with the meeting schedule and took her time explaining to me the work that would be done to repair and refinish my furniture.

I have just recently retired and we are in transition with our new income, and our furniture is in storage, so we decided not to have the furniture repaired at this time. But I wanted to write this review to share the positive experience I had with Furniture Magicians.   Also, my husband will probably refinish the drop leaf table and Susan provided lots of helpful hints for a DIY job.



I am still contacting her with pictures and requests for quotes on other furniture that I want to have repaired and Furniture Magicians will definitely be my go-to company.

I located Furniture Magicians through Angie's List and contacted them.  I could tell from telephone conversations that they wrre very professional and understood exactly what was wrong with the chair.  I sent them photos of the chairs and the broken spring connections.  They assured me that they could fix it at my home.  They came and worked on the chair for a couple of hours, doing an excellent repair job at a very reasonable cost.
