David Franklin

The initial few weeks went very well, and Mr. Franklin and his son showed up to do the work. The work was, for the most part, good. However, we made the mistake of paying him when he had just a few more things to do, which he said he would do soon. As soon as he got our check, he was gone. Multiple calls to him to finish the work, to fix work that we later saw had not been done well went unanswered: no kitchen cabinet varnishing, peeling paint on front porch hand-rails, a bathroom ceiling fan not reinstalled properly, partly disassembled dishwasher after it was supposed to be hooked up, uncaulked window. He still has our house key and the quarter-round molding for the kitchen cabinets. He has not returned our calls for over a month. We have left at least five messages and once when he answered the phone when we blocked caller ID, he said he would come to fix the problems two days from then, but he was a no-show. Since then he has not answered our calls or responded in any way.
