Andy Lewis

Everything went very well.  Andy came by soon after contacting him, took all the measurements (thorough), and gave me an estimate several days later.  He provided his insurance upon request.  I called him a few times to ask questions about the window model, brand, etc. and he stopped by to give me the manufacturer's info packet.  After we signed the contract, he ordered the windows and door, and then we waited until he had all the parts.  It only took him a few days to remove the old stuff, and install the new.  One of the window sets had a poorly installed rubber liner (?) so Andy contacted the manufacturer immediately, their rep came by the next day to verify, and Andy ordered a new window.  He completed everything that he could and then we had to wait for the manufacturer to build another window set.    Once the new window arrived, he came by to remove the faulty, and install the new window. 
We had two other small delays/change orders.  We did not discuss how the inside would be finished, and we assumed that it would be finished.  This was a mistake on our part because the contract had no mention of inside finishing (we just assumed).  Anyway, we had Andy add insulation to the frame and finish with bead board on the inside.  He asked what type of frame, sill, sash, etc. we wanted for the window and sliding door and provided some ideas.  Once everything was done, he told me that he would return later that day to do touch ups where we wanted them. 
I got Andy's name from a friend who used him and has been recommending him to many of his other family/friends.  My friend said that everyone that has used him has been very happy with the work, even those who are very picky.  Anyway, we are also super happy with our new sunroom and the windows and door look fantastic.  We did tend to a few very minor spots where we had to smooth out the seams (using painter's caulk), but again, this was really minor.  We have asked Andy to provide estimates for some additional doors we need to change out in the future, and I know that we will just use him and not search for other contractors.   Andy is honest, works efficiently and skilled at his trade.   He is a little quiet on the phone, but very personable in person.
