Carl and another technician arrived promptly and diagnosed the problem with my Sharp drawer microwave. Unfortunately it was beyond repair. He assisted me in selecting, providing and installing a replacement. It will be installed the next day. Very pleased with Atlantic's work and professionalism.

First visit, we were told the unit had to be descaled. We had already descaled it, but he did it again using another of our descaling tablets. He charged us approximately $100 and left. When we tried to use the unit, it did not heat properly, so we called for service again. This time, the serviceman told us he had to contact Miele because he needed some computetized information that could help him determine the problem. He left saying he would call us back once he contacted Miele. He never called. We called twice before we got him to come back. Once he came, he told us we would probably need a new steam generator. He unplugged our machine and took it with him. When he returned with the machine, He said he souldered a diode and replaced the cord. He did not say he replaced the steam generator. He said the cord had been plugged into a 110v outlet. The machine required a 220v outlet. Apparently, the electrician who originally worked on our new house put in a 110v outlet. When he tried to connect the steam oven, he removed the plug from the end of the cord and replaced it with a 110v plug. Terrible thing for the electrician to do, but since our unit wasn't heating to capacity we believe the outlet/plug should have been the very first thing the serviceman should have checked. He then presented us with a bill for over $800. We will never use this service again. According to him, we have approximately $50,000.00 worth of high end appliances in our home. In the future if we need a repairman, we will drive our appliances to the miele-approved appliance repairman in Richmond if we have to.

"We were sad to see such a review from a long time customer. Over the years we have repaired five appliances for the [Member Name Removed] with no issues. The appliance in question was hooked up incorrectly by an electrician. On the initial visit we tried a total reset of the unit to try and save them some money before ordering any expensive parts. When it would not reset we brought the oven back to our shop and quoted the repair. After we got the o.k. to fix the unit, we did and returned the oven to them in working order."

The service was good. The staff was helpful. They couldn't come for at least 4-5 days before they could get here; but they came when they said they were going to, so that was good. They left the area clean and fine. The door was fixed perfectly. We had another problem and he kind of blew it off. I asked the question about the pot in the dishwasher and they said it was altogether a different thing, and they didn't even care to solve the problem. It is easier to use someone one knows that finding someone new.

This service provider is the only appliance repair service I could find in the Roanoke area that services Dacor appliances. I had a very simple and straightforward job, replacing a plastic handle and bezel on a range. I got the parts myself from a warehouse that Dacor directed me to. The parts were replaced with no difficulty, but they then sent me a bill for $266.25. I was pretty shocked, as this job was so straightforward it could not have taken more than 15 minutes for any knowledgeable service provider to perform; there was no diagnosis involved and I had obtained the parts myself. As the provider is the exclusive Dacor provider in our area, it was a pretty clear case of price gouging. When I objected to the size of the bill, the company threatened to put a lien on my house if the bill wasn't paid within 7 days.

"the member was not present at the time of service. hewas charged for the time the technician was in his home, which was actually 45 minutes. Mileage from our shop to him and back is 92 miles. He was charged for that mileage, and a standard service charge. We did not price gouge the member. His bill reflects standard industry charges for high end appliances."

These guys are great, I have used them for repairs to my dishwasher, my dryer, and my fridge - always prompt and knowledgeable. They had the fridge fixed same day and we have been good to go since - would definitely use them again!

Atlantic Appliance took my appointment promptly. Scheduled an appointment time. Atlantic Appliance showed up on time on appointed date. He was very friendly, very competant. It was a Bosch dishwasher that was not completing the wash cycle. Atlantic knew the issues with this model of Bosch, diagnosed the problem very quickly, repaired the control panel instead of replacing it like some other appliance repair providers recommended. The price was very reasonable, service was excellant, and Carl was very friendly. I will certainly use their sevices if the need arises.

Story 1 : Viking refrigerator/freezer water line for automatic ice cube maker ruptured. Original installer did not use correct type of tube. Carl noticed the same and explained why and installed steel braided line, like the manual recommends. Also, Carl took it upon himself to adjust the refrigerator so that the door closes better. Story 2 : Bosch Dishwasher making growliong noise. Carl correctly diagnosed that motor not bad, but material lodged in a pump blades. He also instructed us how to clean certain nozzles. Sory 3: he is repairing a door hinge on a Viking refrigerator under a safety recall -- Viking hired him to do the repair.
He is prompt, communicative, knowledgable and professional.

We love him. We went through multiple people before we got to him and we've been with him since. We've recommend him to others and he's been great. He machined a part, the part the company sent wasn't right so he said to give him a week and he took it home and fixed it. He's professional, prompt shows up when he says he will, he's clean cut, he has the right equipment and seems to know what he's talking about. He's unflappable. He's calm and doesn't bad mouth the equipment or situation. He's very professional and does what he says he will do.
