Maurice was excellent! His quote was significantly lower than the others I got, and he was the most flexible with the scheduling. On the day of that appointment he was prompt, efficient, and friendly. He finished the work in less than half an hour, and even provided two free key copies. We were sorry to hear that we were his final Philadelphia job before he returns to North Carolina - I would definitely have called him again and recommended him to others.

We were extremely pleased with the service performed by the locksmith. He responded to our last minute request promptly (our keys were stolen on the same day and he was able to come out and change our locks promptly). Within 30 mins, he was able to change all of our locks to our old home. We will definitely use him again.

He was great. I sent him an email at approximately 6:30AM. He responded within twenty minutes and came to my house first thing as I requested. He was polite, professional and focused on doing an A+ job. He was meticulous in every way. I was very pleased with his work.

Mr. Williams came out after I called him on a Saturday afternoon. After I called it took him about 30 minutes to arrive and then took about 1 hour to re-key 4 doors at my house. Overall, great job. Be advised - he only takes cash or credit and charges a fee for card.

Excellent service! Timely, friendly and knowledgeable. Rekeyed 5 sets of doorknobs and deadbolts; had to pick the locks on all 5 doorknobs and 4 of the deadbolts because we only received a key for 1 deadbolt. Had the work done in about and hour. All the locks match a new key. Overall we spent less money than if we put in all new hardware and saved ourselves a LOT of headache! Thank you!! (Unsure of the exact date we had him out! But it was this month.)

He was very responsive and professional - he returned my message in less than 15 minutes.  Was able to meet me the next day in location 1 hr from his location of business.  Appointment was scheduled at 11:00 and he called at 10:00am to ensure our meeting time was still on.  He met us prior to 11:00am and had to wait for an extra 30-40minutes for the deputy sheriff who was detained on another call.  Pleasant and we enjoyed meeting him.  $10 disc for Angie's List customers.  Highly recommend!

I called he (Maurice Williams) answered the call @ about 12:30p and said he was on his way in to Fayetteville and it would be 2:00 before he could get here then arrived @1:30. Looked at what I told him I needed and he went to work and got it done in a mannerly time and way. Thanks Lock Doctor

Excellent; arrived promplty, worked quickly, efficiently and professionally. Took time to answer my 6-year-old grandson's questions, and let him show off his bike :)

It was a mess.  What I was told was going to be a simple thing (huhhhh), turned into a 4 hour ordeal and reinforcements were needed.  They came!!!  Maurice didn't charge me anything extr.  He accepted the tip I gave (will call him again or send a thank you card with xtra $$$).  The price he quoted, was what he charged.  Even with all the xtra work. 
He will be the "ONLY" locksmith that I will ever use in NC.  Even if I moved to Greensboro, I would call and wait for him to come.
I know the job will be done right!!!!

Ok....in order to write an honest review I have to give the good and not so good. So starting with the not so good I was expecting Maurice at 10 and when he didn't show I called to confirm our appointment time.



Maurice answered promptly and immediately apologized for running behind schedule, stated he was on his way and showed up shortly after we ended the call. For those who have a problem with this...swear you were never ever late for an appointment of any kind and you can claim to be holier than thou!



Alright to what is really important. The man knows his stuff...he came in and jumped right on the task. Before I knew it I was signing the final paperwork. He was clean, professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Once he had all the cores installed he check for proper operation using all the keys he cut and each one worked to perfection then and still does.



Bottom line if I have any need for a professional locksmith Maurice is the first on my list to call....the man is top-notch in my book.

My son lost his keys.  We knew the keys were either locked in the car or accidentally taken out with the trash, so we needed to get into the car and possibly have it re-keyed.  I called The Lock Doctor at 8:30 this morning and by 9:30, the car was unlocked and the  keys were found in the trunk (give my poor kid a break, he's a 16-year-old boy).  The guy came all the way from Raeford to North Fayetteville, had the car unlocked within 15 minutes, and charged us only $40.  My husband gave him a $5 tip.  He probably deserved more.  He did exactly what we needed him to do faster than I ever expected.  I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.  In fact, his phone number is now in my phone contacts.  Excellent service.  VERY satisfied!

Mr. Williams came within an hour of my telephone call.  He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem with my door locks and then thoroughly and clearly explained what he could do to repair the problem immediately and inexpensively.  He changed out the knob and lock assembly on two of the four doors and made two additional keys.  He went to each of the locks and thoroughly checked to ensure that all the keys, including the two that he had just made, worked in all of the lock assemblies, both old and new. During the entire visit Mr. Williams was an absolute professional.  He was courteous, took great pains to understand exactly how the lock had been performing, thoroughly checked the other locks that use the same key, and  was able to diagnose the issue within minutes. 
Mr. Williams replaced the broken knob and lock that I had called him about, and showed me where another of the locks was about ready to have the same problem. After he recommended the most appropriate and least expensive way to make the repairs, He went out to his very well stocked and equipped vehicle and within minutes had replaced both faulty knobs and lock assemblies, made two new keys, thoroughly checked over his work for quality control, and cleaned up after himself rapidly and efficiently.  No running to the store to get something that he did not have in his vehicle, no "I'll have to come back tomorrow with this special part," and no fast talk and pushy salesmanship to gouge the customer.  Also, and this is very important, no messy work space or smudges and dirt left behind. During his entire visit, Mr. Williams maintained the same professional, yet very friendly demeanor.  Quire honestly it was less like hiring a stranger to come and repair a problem and more like having a friend with all the right tools and expertise drop in to help out.  As I paid the very reasonable bill, Mr. Williams gave me a legible and thorough receipt as well as one of his business cards so that I could call him if a problem developed or if I might need his expertise again with another locksmith issue.  I insisted on taking a handful of cards so that I could pass them out to friends.  Needless to say, once again he simply reached into his bag and pulled out a number of quality business cards for me.  No fumbling around in a pocket or wallet for  a couple of tattered cards.  Just like everything else about the visit, Mr. Williams was prepared, equipped, and very professional.  I'll never need to search out a locksmith again.  I know precisely whom to call and precisely whom to recommend -  Maurice Williams, The Southern Lock Doctor!

Very professional!  Per our arrangement, Mr Maurice called at 11:00 am prior to arriving.  I requested he arrive later and he arrived on time.  He greeted me, asked me to guide him to the doors requiring re-keying, and he went right to work!  I casually mentioned the deadbolt that was a bit loose and that I was thinking about purchasing a new deadbolt from Lowe's but decided not to because it was still functional.  He said he can fix it, and he did!  I paid with a credit card on site...very convenient!   I will recommend him to people I know without hesitation!
