He has over 30 years working with windows, and came back out of retirement b/c he liked working better than he liked golf. The windows in my 1920 home had chronic water damage, and storm windows were needed just to keep the rain from beating in and causing further damage. |I asked Jon whether he had ever installed Vel-Va-Lume invisible storm windows,** designed to be used to preserve old or historic windows. He hadn't, but drove out to the factory (200 miles away) just to see it, spent 3 hours learning about their different products, and was quite enthusiastic. |In April, he installed the first 3 storms on the North side of the 2nd floor. I like them so much that that I got 2 more installed in July, and just got 5 on the first floor last week. There were some air leaks in the downstairs five, but Jon came back right away, and caulked, which took the air leaks away. |I got windows mainly for storm waterproofing, but am amazed how toasty my upstairs is now, and I noticed all the drafts are gone. I've turned the thermostat down by 1 or 2 degrees, and my electricity bill went down to $12 last month b/c I stopped using the space heater in my room. Jon also helped me to hang up a window curtain, and had done a little painting. I plan to get storms on the 4th side of the house in the future. I couldn't recommend John more highly.||**Virginia-based company. These are customized for each window and are gorgeous, and can be raised up in summer, with drop down screens. Highly recommend them. http://www.westwindow.com/win-velvalume.asp.

Mr. Swan came in March to evaluate my problem and explained to me what had occurred and why it probably happened. I called and he came the next day. I made an appointment for him to come and do the reapair on 04/26. He arrived and got right to work. He also fixed a door that has never been used because we couldn't use it. He explained what he had done and why the problem happened in the first place. Super nice man - he said to let him know if there were any problems with his work and he would come back to take care of it. I will use him again if I need his services.

I needed a pet door installed. Mr. Swan came out and provided an estimate on Saturday. He came back on Saturday, which was convenient as both days were not a work day. He showed up as scheduled and was prompt both times. The work he did was a through, quality job and his price was reasonable. I would not hesitate to use him again.
