Richmond Irrigation did a terrific job installing a 9-zone RainBird system in my 11k square foot lawn (front and back).
Estimate: this was the only part of the process where they weren't perfectly responsive.  They came on time to look at my yard and come up with an estimate, and they told me they'd have an estimate for me the next day.  I went over the various options and particulars I was interested in.  A few days later, I called since I hadn't received it yet.  That same day, they provided an estimate that incorporated what we had discussed.  The price was very fair relative to the other estimates I received.  I had a number of follow-up questions about the estimate and they were very responsive and complete in their answers.
The Install: was estimated to take 2-3 days and ended up being about that, 2.5 days.  The crew was very professional and put in some long hours, particularly the first day.  I walked around with them at the beginning to talk about the layout which was very helpful.  I had two locations where they had they needed to drill under my driveway - they did so without issue.  We talked about the pros/cons of where to place the backflow preventer and controller.  They used a combo of machine digging and hand digging for trenches.  The impact to the yard wasn't as bad as I was fearing, but it definitely needs reseeding.
The Finish: once completed, I walked through the system with them to understand - in particular - the controller.  In retrospect, I wish I had gotten more information on how to adjust/fine tune the sprinklers and rotors as I've been working with the rotors a bit since then to try to get them exactly right.
In the end, I would absolutely recommend Richmond Irrigation.  I thought they did a very thorough job and am very happy with my new system.

When I use water outside the house, I don't want to be charged the sewer portion on top of ithe H20 used like indoor water usage.
So watering the plant beds or washing the car doesn't cost me double.  If you have a 2nd meter for your irrigation, installing hose bibs connected to the meter  is a great way to save money.
Contacted the nice but very busy admin Cathy @ Richmond Irrigation & they were able to put me on their first -to-do 2 days later.
Doug & his assistant came out to install 2 hose bibs that were tied to our second water meter.
Took about an hour because I had them installed right by the backflow boxes nearby.
They dug carefully around my newly installed plant beds & possible utilities line.  Never being rough about things.
Installed the plumbing & tied it to the new fire hydrants.
Put back the soil, drip hoses, & mulch.
Tested that the water came out strong.
And now I can water my beds & wash my car without losing my wallet!
Truth in disclosure:  I choose my service providers carefully & spend my money cautiously.
So when I do choose to spend it for my property, I have enlisted Richmond Irrigation to install my irrigation system, my 2nd meter, & do my annual services.   I do it not because they are cheapest but because they are professional, technicians are friendly & willing to explain things to you, installs are trouble free or they come to make it right , & lastly the pricing is fair.
There is no up-sell & no scare tactics.  This is why I choose to endorse & spend my money with them.

They came out and measured the yard and stuff. They responded in two days, at the most.

Rep showed up on time and provided an estimate for the work I wanted done, will contact when we develop date for work to be done.

Due to the massive amounts of rain this year, there was a large degree of flooding in our crawl space due to old, improper drain tile implementation. Richmond Irrigation performed all work scoped to address several drainage issues at our home.  Richmond Irrigation replaced the faulty drain tile with a brand new system in the large crawl space, ran new lines for drainage for external downspouts, sealed any breeches in the foundation, and helped us place stone along mulch beds to reduce runoff and prevent external drain obstruction.
The team, led by Gilbert Turner, were always on-time, professional, hard working, and extremely responsive to questions and attentive to all details. They went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done right, and completed on-time. The crawl space solution is working well and I am very pleased with the quality of the solution Richmond Irrigation implemented. I highly recommend their drainage remediation services.

Based on the BBB A+ and Angie's list recommendations, I contacted them.  They got back to me that day.  Next day they came out, and did the estimate.  We scheduled the work and they nailed it.
