They told me it was out of warranty and that I had to pay for it. I told them to check the mileage again and they did. They said it was still under warranty. This was a one time thing but normally they do a good job.

10/8/2020 (don't often post reviews but this needs to be said) TLDR - Watch out for: poor quality wearable parts, pressure based maintenance recommendation, lack of transparency regarding parts installed, and excessive maintenance costs on warrantied vehicles, excessive wait times. Beware of the service department, the Pearson Honda dealership and the quality of "wearable" parts installed by the dealer. Purchased a new 2018 Honda CRV from Pearson Honda in November of 2017. On Oct 8th of 2020 the service department conducted scheduled maintenance and a VA state inspection on the vehicle. The rear tires were excessively worn down (1 32nds) and we were recommended to be replaced. These tires were new with the vehicle and were always used in normal driving conditions with 19,967 miles on the vehicle. Honda would not cover the replacement of the tires and charged my wife $299.98 to install 2 new tires, matching the original tires that were installed. Then charged $89.95 to align all 4 wheels. At no point was my wife given a choice of tires to install on the vehicle and no information regarding the brand/model/manufacturer of the tire was provided... no warranty information was provided. So to recap I just paid $389.93 for 2 new tires and an alignment on my new 2018 CRV with less than 20,000 miles. Keep in mind I have used this service department for all my vehicle maintenance since the vehicle is still under warranty and have followed all recommended maintenance. Furthermore the service department seemed to think there was no problem installing new tires on a vehicle that had front tires that were worn to 6 32nds on a vehicle that is all-wheel drive (this was even recommended). All of this is completely unacceptable and differs from most mechanical recommendations for all-wheel drive vehicles. When I asked if there was a mechanical issue with the car that could lead to the excessive wear on the rear tires (on the phone after the shop visit) I was told that they didn't check because no one told them to... I was understandably confused. We take our vehicle to the service department to have them recommend the best course of action to maintain the vehicle, as I am not a car mechanic and don't have the expertise to recommend or detect issues. later the service department "advisor" revised the statement to, we checked all the normal causes of this and nothing was wrong. So now I have two older tires that that are clearly poor quality, paid for 2 new bad quality tires to be installed 'to fix the problem'. All on a vehicle that is new, under warranty, and has less than 20,000 miles... I think the service department saw my wife and figured they could rack up a bill that would be paid with no complaint... I have called the service department and they seemed to think all of this is completely fine. However the parts department is going to call me in a few days, after contacting bridgestone to see if there is a warranty on the factory installed tires or even if there is anyways to reduce the cost of the new tires they just replaced (and I paid for in full). Keep in mind all of this is only because I called and was upset with the situation as is. My wife regretted going along with the recommendation but felt pressured to go along because the state inspection my not have passed... She was also there for 3 HOURS for a "scheduled appointment". This appointment was for an oil change and state inspection. I can't blame her for wanting to get out of there after waiting 3 hours. I will update my review if the situation changes Avoid the service department, and shop for your Honda at another dealership if you want the wearable parts (tires, brakes, etc.) on your vehicle to last longer than 20,000 without major service fees.

I have been very happy with the cars and they were very professional throughout the whole buying experience. Of the dealerships I have used, they were the friendliest. They were very accommodating and I would highly recommend them.

They have been excellent. They are accommodating if I am a little late and are very professional. I feel like they know the car and I have confidence in them maintaining it. I will continue to use them.

That I like dealing with them. They take good care of my car. I am someone who waits on the work of my car. They try to get it done promptly. I am not there that long. The workers are fine. I am in contact with the service manager, than the people who do the work.

In July of 2011 I hit a raccoon and it damaged my air conditioner which I had Pearson fix.  I have been back just about every year since because warm air would start blowing the following year.  They ran dye a couple of times, refilled coolant a couple of time and found nothing.  Finally last April they filled it with coolant again, asked me to drive it 500 miles and then come back which I did an sure enough it was blowing warm air again.    Checked it again and said high pressure O-ring had a problem.   So they fixed that.   But sure enough warm air again in less than a year.  Now today they tell me I have a leak in the discharge hose.  I had no faith in the service department on this issue before, don't know whether they are right on this one because from my point of view it is just their latest guess.  And of course they still wanted me to pay for the parts to fix it - another $120 or so.  I can't say I'm surprised but am disappointed.

We love them. Their dealership prices are a little steep, but that's just because it's a dealership. They are not cheap. Their service is excellent. It is easy to get in there; we can get an appointment anytime. Their customer service is excellent. I would consider buying another Honda just because of them. They are really good.

The Pearson Honda Dealership is a fabulous facility with a meticulously clean auto drop off and friendly personnel. However, I wouldn't trade my long time independent mechanic for any of that because no one can beat his integrity. Unfortunately he is not authorized to do recall repairs. For that I had to go to an authorized Honda dealer. I would have given Pearson Honda an "A" rating except for one issue that was both time consuming and inconvenient. Both Honda Civics had a recall notice involving one or more of the following: airbag problem, seatbelt problem, and headlight issue. The cars are driven by our adult children that are away at college. On one of their rare visits home we decided to get the recall notices taken care of. We brought the cars to Pearson Honda since recall notice work can only be performed by an authorized Honda dealer. When it came to the seat belt issue we were told that they would have to charge us a diagnostic fee of $50.00 plus repairs. We drove to the dealership and picked up the car and drove it to our regular mechanic. He ran the diagnostic free of charge and told us the code. The code was 9-3 which is a "faulty driver's seat belt" and covered under warranty. He also told us that Honda seatbelts come with a life time warranty. He felt as a courtesy, Pearson Honda should have just run the diagnostic free of charge. We drove to our mechanic and picked up the car and drove it back to Pearson Honda. And no, it's not close by and it was inconvenient. Honda apologized for the inconvenience and made the repairs. It was one of those situations where it was a "day late and a dollar short." It completely hampered the brief time we had to visit with our sons. We own five cars and stopped using any dealership for repairs approximately nine years ago for reasons similar to the situation we experienced above.

Scheduled the appointment twice because of inclement weather. Spoke with the parts department about the type of oil they used and was given the response that it would not be a problem for me to bring in my own oil (I like my brand best). After the oil change they did not want to adjust the price of the oil change (it was a special from a coupon I had picked up). Had to talk to the mgr for the reduction (gave me an eight dollar discount which was reasonable) but I had to spend an additional 30 minutes there and bicker. It was a little bit humiliating but I needed to stand my ground.

This dealership is hit or miss. I have taken one of my vehicles there before, told I needed a new transmission (25k miles ago, second opinion verified dirt/ road crud, NOT transmission leak) and other times, like yesterday, Im in and out with no problems. In fact, they checked the battery and electrical systems and found NO problems versus finding extra problems. The wash is nice of them to do (but I wouldn't pay extra for it… its comparable to a $5 gas station wash). The service department is huge and people are very friendly. Especially when its raining, its nice that you don't ever have to go outside!

Took my Acura TSX in for their oil change, tire rotation, wash and inspection package which was discounted to what you would pay at a neighborhood garage. They did the work well but recommended lots of maintenance services that if they had even looked they would have known had already been done. They scared me into thinking I had a transmission leak (though they didn't have to add fluid!!?) and upon getting a second opinion the mechanic showed me where I had road gunk stuck to it but no leak. He cleaned the gunk off and sent me on my way. Will I go back? Sure. But I disregard totally any recommendations they make over and beyond what I've asked for... Which is a shame because they're supposed to be making sure I'm safe driving down the road.

We own a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan with about 200,000 miles and love this car. At its age and mileage, we expect to budget some extra maintenance dollars each year. We planned a vacation out of state and wanted several issues addressed with the vehicle: new turn signal, rear door latch were the major items.
They replaced the turn signal and it works OK, but it feels like a cheap knockoff part and sticks sometimes. I had hoped it would smooth out somewhat after use, but it hasn't. It could be that with the age of the car that it is the only part available.
The rear latch had broken collar in the rrear latch assembly. One thing I really like about these guys is they do not always go straight for the most expensive fix like replacing the entire rear latch assembly. They removed the collar and it seemed to work OK (makes a noise but can only be heard outside the vehicle while it is moving so who cares).
For this reason, I feel like I can trust them somewhat. Another older car I brought in they advised against fixing it due to the age and costs - how many mechanics can you say that about?
They are a very busy shop, though, so when I tried to set up an appointment about two weeks beforehand, I couldn't. They promised to work me in and that a week would be more than enough time to get the parts and complete the work. While the car was in there (over a week), they lost a wheel cover. To their credit, they replaced two on one side (so they would match) but they couldn't do that before my trip so I drove out of state with one wheel cover missing. Not too happy about that. They did throw on a few discounts.
My vehicle was in the shop for a while and I tried to contact my service rep a couple of times to check the status. He is a great guy but I placed several calls and left several messages before getting a call back. Said he hadn't gotten messages because of new phone system.
Overall, I have trusted these mechanics with my non-Honda, older vehicles. I like that they are open on Saturday. I feel they are looking out for me somewhat and, although the bill is what it is, I don't feel gouged like I have with some mechanics. I've had some good work and some bad but overall I keep going back.
