Orkin apparently just started servicing my home without my explicit consent. I would argue that a voicemail is not adequate notice when one company is taking over for another. I finally decided to pay for the service they had performed, giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming it was an honest mistake. However, my ability to terminate their service was equally frustrating. I requested to cancel the service. I was informed that the Cancellation Department would contact me. They never did. I requested the manager to contact me. He never did. Follow-up calls elicited the explanation was that they were busy "in the field." I finally got ahold of the Cancellation Department, named Carl, and he assured me that my service would be cancelled. After some discussion, he agreed to send me an e-mail confirming the cancellation. He did. We're done.

I have a yearly contract for my home pest control services with Western Pest Control.  I have had it for over 10 years and have always had prompt, A+ service.  Orkin apparently recently bought out Western Pest Services in the Midlothian area which I found  out about two weeks ago when I called the Western phone number for follow-up service.  When "Orkin"  answered, I was confused and asked what happened to Western.  They rather curtly informed me that Orkin had taken over and then transferred me to a rep handling my area.  I told this person what I needed and she said the serviceman would be calling me that day. He didn't.  I made four total calls over a two-week period before I was able to get the promised return call and service scheduled for the next day.  They were not apologetic nor did they even attempt to offer an explanation for the lack of responsiveness.   I do not intend on renewing my contract which will be up in June.  I would get a pro-rated refund if I could.  I can't say anything positive at this point about Orkin.

They will take care of special problems if I have them.

We have the same technician every month. If there are any problems they will come out for no additional charge until the problem is resolved.

We have been using Orking for about a year.  They come every other month and the last 3 times they have come we have repeatedly complained about pests still being found throughout our home (living room, bathrooms and kitchen cabinets).  The one time I called their office between services and they told me they were going to send someone out (their work is suppose to be guaranteed).  So we set up a time and he showed up 3 hours early which I was not home.  And he never came back.  I saw him again on our regularly scheduled appointment which we complained.

He at first told us it was because of all our landscaping .  We then had all our landscaping cut back from our house.  Then when that excuse didn't work anymore he told us our windows needed to be caulked.  It's one excuse after another.  He just seemed to get lazier every time he came out.

On 9/13/2011 I called and cancelled services with them.  Two days later I got a phone call form a service manager stating that they were entitled to come to my house and treat it one more time prior to cancelation.  I told them I am not paying for anymore services.  He then got really nasty and told me he was sending my account to a collection agencey and hung up on me.  

The next day they sent the service guy to my house and he said that they were entitled to treat my house and charge me for it.  At this time I was very upset that they came to my house to harass me some more.  I do not like have something shoved down my throat and having to pay for something I am not happy with.  

I am tired of being bullied and threatened by these service contractors (we had the same problem with our lawn guy).  They are all nice when they first get the business.  Then when you no longer want their services because of poor performance they get really nasty. 

They were very expensive. Warranty cost $300 extra on top of the $1850 treatment cost. The inspector only scribbled a number on the back of a folder as to what the cost would be. I called back and asked for a detailed estimate and he sent me a bunch of copied pages from their web site about termite treatment. Not professional or detailed about work to be done.

I have been using the same company for 40 years now and it because they do great work. I love that I have had the same man coming to my house for as long as I can remember. It s nice to know whose coming and that you know and trust that person.

Orkin Exterminating Company called to make sure the time was good for them to show up. The chemicals they used were pet friendly and safe for kids. Orkin has always done a great job for us seasonally to eliminate all bugs and insects.

I thought we had a fair experience with the Orkin Exterminating Company, but I thought their prices were just outrageous. They carried a contract, but I cancelled it because of the prices. They did good work, but I just couldn't afford it.

I think they do a good job on getting rid of the bugs in the house but I don t like how they pressured me into the service. They had me pay a high upfront payment when I really didn't need to at the moment. Now that I am in a long term contract, there is no way of getting out of it. I think its a little too high priced for me being on a fixed income.

They sprayed about 6 times a year for us. They were receptive to instructions on locations to spray. The servicemen were always polite and courteous, and we never had any problems with them, or their service.

I just can't remember what I paid a year, but I was very pleased with their work. He called to make sure I was home before he came out, and he showed up when he said he would. I was happy with the results of their work. There's some smell, but other than that it was safe. I don't use them anymore, I don't need them.

I have been happy with their pest control. They came out once a month and spent about a half an hour here each visit. They have sent the same gentleman back each time so we knew him and we liked him. I would say he was thorough and did a good job too. I was satisfied with Orkin and have had an ongoing service with them.

Orkin over the years have been affiliated with my family in one form or another. They have always played a very instrumental role in ridding us of home termites, insects, or other sorts and also the unusual types of critters such as creepy crawlers.

We have not seen any bugs since we have been using Orkin for our pest control. We have been using them for about two years now. They are always on time and are very friendly. The man who comes is very thorough and makes sure he gets everywhere that any bug may hide.

I have never had a bug problem, which is why I hired Orkin so I would never have to worry about it. Orkin is one of the top names in pest control and they have a very good reputation.

I thought things went okay with the services I use to receive from Orkin s people. They were our regular company until we ran in to some financial troubles and had no choice but to let go of their services. Now that I have tried out a different company I see how high priced Orkin s services really were. I would still consider using them though.

They inspected our home every month for termites. They also treated around our home when necessary. We haven't had any problems with them or their service. They used a good product and they were always on time for us. I couldn t recall the price I paid for this.

Orkin comes out to spray for bugs so we don t have to worry about infestations. The people that come out are highly trained and do a very good job. They also take the time to come explain any finding they have.

I am so happy to have had no ant issues since Orkin came to my home. They are extremely professional, and explained exactly what they found and what I could do to prevent ants from coming back.

We've used Orkins for several years. They come every other month and mostly spray outside for bugs and other termites. We rarely see any bugs in between their visits. They do an adequate job.

I have been using Orkin for the past year. They spray for ants, roaches, spiders and a lot of other things. I've never had a bug problem and never want one we use them more as a preventative method.
