Easy to contact and set up a date. Movers showed up and got the job done in less than an hour. It was raining and they were even courteous to lay down blankets to wipe off their feet before going on my carpet.

Mark and company SAVED THE DAY! I have used J & M for a few years now. They have done 3 household moves and also moved a couch from a retail store to my home in the past. When I was being ripped off recently (attempted) and in a time crunch, I knew J & M could assist. I own a cheesecake bakery company in Richmond and recently won at auction a 2 door display cooler for a location I'm moving to. The recommended haulers from the auction house wanted to charge me $1,400 to do a very simple move of an uncomplicated piece of equipment 12 miles locally. To add insult to injury, they only got the quote to me 4 days before I needed it moved before starting to incur daily storage fees. I got the quote on 4/27 and contacted Mark at J &M via their website at 5:15 pm the same day. He called me personally within 15 minutes and by 11 am the next day, the equipment was not only moved, but done so professionally at a savings of $1,000. Mark knew I was trying to be ripped off and helped me out tremendously! Thank you so much for saving the day, J & M. You continue to be my moving company of choice! I was Super impressed by the professionalism of my moving crew. Tyrann, Eric and JayJay were The moving Kings. They were focused, caring of my things and protecting them and I was impressed at their ability to pack my things in such a caring yet efficient timely manner. As always some people are are surprised by the unexpected in their jobs but it wasn’t an issues for these guys.. Totally prepared.. Unloading was just handled with the same care. I appreciated them asking about my wishes were things go and taking extra care on my wood floors.I even got the opportunity to ask their holiday plans with family. Mark Mosely and J&M Moving Services were outstanding. Mark was professional, flexible, professional, helpful, and understanding of the challenges this move presented. He staying in touch with me, handled my sister's mental health issues with care and delicacy, and was able to get her moved, despite the very challenging circumstances. His pricing was very fair, and he even made changes on the run to help me when my sister was struggling with getting her things ready to move. I could not be more impressed with Mark Mosley and J&M. He is a great person -- and very honest and helpful. I would DEFINITELY use him again. I was lucky to find him -- he had great reviews on Angie's List, and they are true!

It was great. I ended up loading the fireproof cabinet. The movers helped me move my filing cabinet as well. They gave me additional help without me asking. The three guys were so friendly and very personable.

All three of the guys wore face masks and were professional and courteous. They were careful with our belongings - wrapping all of the items in either moving blankets or plastic wrap - and moving them cautiously out of and into the house. J&M staff were respectful of our homes, our health, and our time. We would definitely hire them again!

J & M Moving was great! I am preparing my house for sale and had a bunch of furniture and boxes that needed to go into storage. I completed their online form and received a call back within a few hours. Mark explained their pricing and was able to schedule a team for a day the following week that worked for me. He committed to calling to confirm the day before, which he did. On the day, Antoine called to let me know they were on the way and their ETA. They arrived a bit later than I'd expected, but it wasn't a big deal, as I was home all day. He and Eric surveyed what needed to go and estimated it would take 2 hours to load everything, drive to my storage unit, and unload. From start to finish, it took right at an hour to move 8 pieces of furniture (4 large, 4 small) and probably 20 boxes. Antoine and Eric were careful of walls and the furniture itself (Antoine even pointed out that one of the legs of my cedar chest was a little loose), played Tetris to get things to fit into my already half-full storage unit, and were super friendly. I will definitely recommend J&M to others and most likely hire them again (and request the same team) when I actually move!
