After two weeks with no word, I contacted the office and received a call from the owner, who promised me a proposal within the next 24-48 hours. 48 hours passed--still nothing. I decided to give them one more chance even after the missed self-imposed deadline, so I emailed the office manager stating that I would be making a decision the following week with or without their proposal. She sent me an email back stating that she did not put together the quotes and suggested I contact the manager directly (as if it was not her problem). In short, if they did not want the business, the least they could have done was let me know so that I did not waste my time or consideration on them. If they needed more information from me, they could have called and requested it (they didn't). I found the entire experience thoroughly unprofessional and exceedingly irritating.

"WE ARE NOT CONTENT WITH THE DISSATISFACTION EXPERIENCED BY THE MEMBER. HE HAD NOT MADE A SELECTION OF THE STONE HE WANTED TO USE FOR THE PROJECT PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE HE ESTABLISHED. HE GAVE AN ADDRESS OF A HOME WITH A STONE HE WAS INTERESTED IN AND SENT US A WEBSITE TO REVIEW WITH VARIOUS STONE CHOICES. WE REVIEWED THE WEBSITE AND BEGAN SEARCHING FOR OPTIONS AND PRICES OF PATIO STONES HE MAY LIKE. WE ALSO INFORMED HIM OF ANOTHER HOME NEARBY WITH A STONE HE MIGHT WANT. HE HAD A DEADLINE FOR OUR PROPOSAL AS HE HAD OTHER BIDS TO SELECT FROM. OUR PROJECT MANAGER WAS UNCLEAR HOW WE WERE TO BID AGAINST THESE QUOTES WHEN NO STONE HAD YET BEEN SELECTED. AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE MEMBER WE INDICATED WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MEET HIS DEADLINE AND GIVE A PROPOSAL WE FELT ALTOGETHER COMFORTABLE WITH. WE ENJOYED MEETING WITH HIM AND DISCUSSING HIS PROJECT WITH HIM. WHAT IS MORE, WE WOULD HAVE ENJOYED WORKING WITH HIM. A SOLID PROPOSAL IS KEY TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS ONCE THE PROJECT BEGINS. WE UNDERSTAND AT TIMES THERE ARE TIME CONSTRAINTS FOR A PROJECT PROPOSAL, AND WE REGRET WE WERE NOT ABLE TO COME TO A CLEAR AND DEFINITE SCOPE AND PRICE BEFORE THE TIME HAD LAPSED. WE WANTED A CLEAR COST FOR HIM PRIOR TO OUR BID TO AVOID SURPRISES. OTHER CONTRACTORS WERE WILLING TO SUPPLY A BID WITHOUT A DEFINITE MATERIAL SELECTION. THIS MAY HAVE WORKED BETTER FOR THE MEMBER IN THIS CASE, HOWEVER OUR EXPERIENCE DICTATES THIS CAN BE A RECIPE FOR GRAVE DISSATISFACTION."

We really could not have been more pleased with our experience. From the initial planning to the finishing touches, Homefront was our partner. Their attention to detail and creative problem solving ensured a job well done. They were very good at keeping us informed every step of the way. Everyone working on the job was courteous and experienced, and obviously took pride in their work. If you are looking for good people to do good work, look to Homefront!

I never knew a sunroom could be so cool. I just sit in there sometimes and just look at what a wonderful job that Homefront did. The service men were so great and respectful. They reported to work on time and built the sunroom in no time.
