Flowers Make Scents

The florist returned my call at the time I designated.  I placed an order for an arrangement that was "creative and unusual...not one's typical arrangement with flowers just stuck in a vase".  They did a great job...followed my directions exactly and my daughter was quite pleased.  I would definitely use them again!

It was a very busy Saturday - I went in to work for a few hours to get caught up, then dropped my younger son off at a friend's to work on a school project, then I went to a college open house with my husband and older son for several hours... by the time I went to the grocery store and flopped on the couch to listen to the answering machine, it was almost 6pm. First message, Mom. Second message, VCU Biomedical Engineering reminding about the open house. Message three... Sherry, from Flowers Make Scents... alarms go off in my brain: OH MY GOSH I FORGOT TO GET THE FLOWERS FOR CHURCH! I really didn't even hear what else she said - all I could think of was, they closed an hour ago... what am I going to do? Still in a panic (these flowers were for church, so I couldn't just fake it with a bunch from the grocery store), I listened to message four - and Sherry had a plan. She said she'd taken the flowers next door to the new restaurant and they said they'd hold them for me since they were open until 10pm. PHEW! Sherry saved the day (and once I have a chance to eat at the cafe with such nice owners I'll definitely let Angie's List know how it went) with her fantastic idea! I also love to get a spritz of the Vera Wang perfume she keeps at the counter :-)
