I have used Daniel's before.  They were good.  They were prompt.  The thing that stood out the most about them was they were always professional and always easy to deal with.

The schedualing with the county inspector and installing the actual appliances took longer and there was some confusion with when the inspections should take place, when the gas line was to be run to the house, so the installation took at least 4 weeks longer that it should have. They upgraded some of my old plumbing with no additional cost and the origional estimate was the actual cost. We were satisfied with the work when it was finished.

Showed up on time and preformed repair work.

Excellent service. These guys were on time and very professional. They sent 4 guys to do the job. They had the old system removed, and the new system installed and running in less than 4 hours.

When we bought our house 3 years ago I called Daniels heating and A/C sin their label was on the equipment. They came out and explained everything to us, where the intake vents were, and what filters I would need. They call me once a year to remind me to have our system checked which I appreciate. In our most recent visit the outside unit was leaning due to some erosion under the platform and they leveled it for us. They did the other checks and everything is good.

In order to rent my house I needed to remove the old gas furnace and window A/C and replace it with a central heating and cooling system. I thought of Daniels Heating and Refrigeration for this job because they are a authorized Lennox dealer. She came out at the scheduled time and did an estimate evaluation. Returned a proposal that looked reasonable in price. We scheduled the job. Then they came in that day that they were scheduled the install and finished in one day leaving me a fully operational system. They handled the county inspectors for mechanical and electrical inspection and they passed. Everything seemed straight forward and neatly package. The whole thing went quite well.

personally, i want a service provider that will give me a fair rate
(not kelleher or james river - +200 to +300 for 6 month service) and be
concerned then follow up to see what else they can do to resolve issues
and give quotes.  i don't always want the ball in my court.  don't tell
me you will do without actually doing it.  i will keep looking, Angie's
readers please give me the names you trust. 
i gave Daniels a C, if they followed up afterwards with me about the issues i told the tech about and what he mentioned, to set up an appointment to give me quotes and suggestions on what to do, then I would have rated them higher (then I would rate workmanship after the work was completed).

This is a great company to work with. Mrs. Daniels is great. She personally came to our house, explained everything to us, answered our questions and worked with us every step of the way. She filed all of the rebates for us, including state tax creadits. After the two A/C / heaters were installed she personally followed up and made sure we were pleased.A year later, the two units her company installed have worked flawlessly

Overall my expierance was fine. They charge the going rate. They were good to work with, did a follow up, and they are big on customer service.

They have done our heating and cooling for thirty years and they are excellent. They come out every year and check our furnace. They come right away and take care of it anytime that we have an emergency. If the air cooling goes out in the summer of if something happens to our furnace in the winter, they come out right away and take care of it. Their price is competitive. They charge what everybody else charges but they are not like 'the buy'.

We have worked with this company on 2 separate occasions and have had nothing but positive experiences. I was able to get same day appointments both times, and both times the technician came right on time. Today, I even had a second technician call telling me he was on his way over (after the first one). I realize there was a mistake somewhere, but it was very refreshing to know that 2 people were going to come help as opposed to some businesses where the technician never shows up.

Fine early, 2003-2005. Since then, nothing but trouble. Either they are incompetent or have so much business they can afford to treat customers shabbily.

Extremely low quality job. Left at least two of the downstairs air ducts unconnected to the system, damaged fittings in the outside units during installation, according to a new company eventually called to do the repairs, necessitating replacement of coil on interior unit and of one of the external units. Over two years of complaint were dismissed by the owner, Mr Daniel, in a phone conversation that was bizarre in the ground it covered (from my character to religion). This company is very big, it seems, and the result of this dispute was that even my builder didn't get satisfaction and covered the costs of replacements by another HVAC company. Add to this insult the injury to the environment by repeated refills of refrigeration gas (freon substitute) that simply leaked out of the defective unit, and you have a story that I'd wish on no other consumer. Thankfully, Angie's list gives consumers a forum for exposing this level of incompetence.
