Craig Richardson Painting

Craig Richardson is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate, and lazy painter I have ever had the unfortunate experience to know.  We first hired Craig back in December to pain our foyer and kitchen.  Craig was originally supposed to start on a specific day, say a Tuesday, but never showed up...My husband called and Craig said he wouldn't be able to start until the next day.  The next day, Craig didn't show up again!  It was two days after his initial start date that he actually arrived.  After he started working, not only did we find paint on our brand new carpet, but we also found paint on numerous door frames/trim.  Craig blamed these mistakes on a new hire.  However, Craig was here the entire time and never should have let these errors occur.  Instead, my husband is the one who discovered all the mistakes.  While Craig finally did rectify all the areas that needed fixing, Craig asked my husband to pinpoint where all the mistakes were--this is the most ridiculous thing to ever ask of a customer.  We should never have had to go over Craig's work--period!   Since Craig was able to fix everything, we foolishly gave him the benefit of the doubt, and hired him again to paint three of our bathrooms.  This is where the story take a turn for the worst.  Craig said it would only take two days to paint the bathrooms....two weeks later, my husband is now upstairs finishing the work himself.  Craig is very lazy when it comes to his job.  He only applies one coat of edging work and missed several spots with his roller.  Additionally, the most basic of things--removing outlet covers, towel hangers, etc., were never done.  Craig actually had the audacity to paint around them. Furthermore, I had to (once again) point out several spots that he missed.  Craig said he'd be back on Saturday to finish the job.  HE NEVER SHOWED.  We called him several times and he never returned our call.  I finally contacted him two days later and he came out to "finish" the job.  Craig applied another coat to one of our bathrooms.  However, two days later we noticed Craig never put another coat of edging on a room that went from dark to light, and the original color started to show through.  My husband called him and Craig said he'd be out that Thursday.  Craig NEVER SHOWED AGAIN.  This makes four times if you're keeping track.  What's worse, we have not been able to contact him since.  He has not called us and he will not pick up his phone--I assume he's screening our calls.  I am livid that we paid him $300 for a service that my husband is now completing himself.  DO NOT TRUST CRAIG RICHARDSON!
