About us
Chesterfield Learning Center provides personalized tutoring in all subjects areas for students of all ages. Our goal is to understand your child's specific needs and utilize the most efficient and personalized methods of assistance that will enable your child to develope the skills to retain, comprehend, and make the best use of information. We are as concerned with one's learning to understand as we are with his or her understanding of what is learned. For this reason, our tutors are trained to utilize a meta-cognitive approach to learning, to help students understand HOW they are learning in addition to WHAT they are learning. We have six week SAT/ACT sessions in both reading and math. We utilize READING PLUS, which is a program that picks up where phonic an oral reading instruction leave off. We have tutoring in all SOL areas. We teach study skills at all levels. We are privately owned, have flexible 7 day a week hours. We have 150 tutors oncall.
