Before buying the vehicle in February, I hired Buddy South Automotive to check it out. They said it was OK. So, I bought it.
On May 12th, in the annual state inspection, they found the bad front end parts replaced them as required to pass inspection. I was told this was a common occurrence on Ford Rangers. The vehicle saw less than 1000 miles of use from the time I bought it on their approval.
They said they were sorry about it but offered no concession.
In the past, I was quite satisfied in my dealings with Buddy South. This event has been a serious disappointment for me.

It went well. My car had an electrical issue. It was shutting off constantly. When it did turn on, the head lights would not work and interior lights (cabin and dash lights) also. They were able to find the problem and fix it. The repair even fixed the A/C, which believed to believed was done for. I had gone to another business and they wanted to charge me close to 900.00. Buddy South fixed the problem for less than half the price. I truly trust them. Their work is dependable and done in a timely matter.

1) I took my car in for an intermittent burning oil smell among other problems. They fixed all the other problems but the intermittent burning oil smell was still there about 6-8 months after I had the work done. I took the car back to have the burning oil smell looked at again and Buddy's found the problem and fixed it for no cost. I didn't have to say a thing - they said they should have found the problem the first time and did the repair for free.
2) I took a car in to have the power steering rack changed as it was leaking fluid. Buddy's changed the part out, but on the way home the steering became very hard to turn. I called Buddy's and they paid for a tow truck to bring the car back and fix the problem which was a bad new steering rack out of the box.
3)I took a car in for a routine timing belt change. Buddy's South looked at their records and saw that I had already done a timing belt change on this vehicle about 1-2 years ago and it didn't need changed yet. I have 3 cars which makes knowing when each needs service a little tricky and was glad to hear that the car didn't need any work done, saving me money.

It's family-owned. They take very good care of our cars. They do not fix things that do not need to be fixed. The rate is reasonable. They let us know what's going on all the time. We could trust that he's going to fix the car. They have a great place to get it done as quick as possible. The last time I was there, the pump that was $321.25, it had no charge. They're not going to charge us for that because they previously fixed the pump a few years ago and it was on warranty. The charge was for oil change.

I brought my car in to have Buddy South diagnose a hesitation in
my Mazda 6. I left my car with them at 8 am. Did not hear from them by 3 pm, so I had to call. They stated it was a dirty oxygen sensor, and they could clean it for 115.00. I was told I also needed new rotors because my front ones were warped, and I need a transmission flush. I told them I would call back after I had made a decision on the repairs. After 5 I called to say
that I would pick up the vehicle, I had not planned on going forward with the repairs.
I get to Buddy South and found a bill of over 500.00 waiting for me. We were very confused with why the repairs had been
done, and was told and quot;they wanted to save me time.and quot; We ended up paying for a diagnostic charge and for parts for a tune of 321.00. I preceded to drive home and my vehicle still had the hesitation that I brought the car in for, so I immediately called the mechanic, told him the vehicle was not repaired, and his answer was for me to and quot;drive it around for 15 minutes, and it may clear
upand quot;. I was very unhappy with the service and would NOT take my car back, ever. I did not take my vehicle back to them for another chance to fix it because I no longer trust Buddy South!
I have asked for a refund on my credit card, to no avail.

I went in with a number of problems. Burnt rubber odor, clunk in the front on turning, grinding noise sounding like it was coming from the power steering pump....... and I needed a State Inspection and thought I needed two new tires because I was really having a rough ride and the tread was low. I was expecting a huge bill. I left the truck with them Monday morning when they opened. By mid morning I had an estimate and some good advice that saved me money.. There were some things loose that they tightened while doing other work so I got one problem fixed at little or no charge.. And they topped up a low fluid at no charge to make another problem go away. As for tires, they gave me a suggestion for rotating the tires that allowed me to avoid buying a new tire! The hard work was the valve cover and intake manifold gaskets to get the leak stopped. I got a call that early that afternoon to tell me they had started on the gaskets but it was going to take some time and asked if I could leave the vehicle. That was no problem; I had been told well in advance rather than finding out it wasn't ready when I showed up to pick it up. There were so many things were very good about their service. I was kept informed every step of the way. I felt like I not only received good service but also was given some good advice that saved me money and didn't receive service I didn't need. Everyone was pleasant and helpful from the technical folks to the knowledgable ladies up front checking me in and out. I have had a better experience with this shop than any other auto repair place I've been to after more than 30 years owning cars. I will definitely keep using these folks and highly recommend them.

It's a local company. They are awesome. We had taken our car there a few years ago where we had been told by another auto shop because we basically had to replace the motor, and it could have been like $3500, and they fixed it for a little under $300 and said it didn't actually need to be replaced. They towed the car from across the street, but they towed the car for us from the other shop. I trust them more than I would anybody else.

I have used them several times, and I had a very good experience with them. It went very well. I was satisfied with them. I had a lot of work done. They explained everything. They are busy most of the time. People need to get in early, if they want the work to be done. They have a good reputation. A couple of people at my work go there. I went there because friends of mine took their cars there, and they had good results. They recommended them to me, and with a word of mouth, I got to know them. They are very honest. They wouldn't tell me to do things that weren't needed to be done. I highly recommend them to anybody else. I found them to be reasonable; they do a good work, and are prompt. If I have a transmission problem then I need to take it to my dealer because they can't do it.

They are very professional. You can drop your car while going to work and pick it up when you are coming back. They are courteous. Their prices are reasonable in comparison to other places of repairs. Their knowledge is good when it comes to cars. They have been with me from such a long time that we have become friends. Their price is excellent. I won't take my car anywhere else. I would use them in the future.

I took my car to a dealership and they said the cost would be $800. So I took it to Buddy S Auto Parts and Service and they only charged me $100. They were very honest. They were helpful in locating the problem. They were very professional. We have taken our vehicles there for the past ten years. No one dares to compare.
