"We are sorry you still had problems after we replaced your leaking line set. We wish you would have called back because we stand behind our work. The first visit on July 31st the tech found your system low on charge. He quoted you what it would cost to do a leak search and you declined. He did a visual look and saw no signs of oil that would show a leak. He topped off the system and charged you for the services provided. On the bottom of your invoice it states if we had to replace more than 2 lbs. of refrigerant you may have a leak. It states what it would cost and that we can not be responsible for it leaking back out.It also states that leaks can get worse after adding refrigerant because of the increase in pressures. The second visit on August 20th the tech did a leak search and found the line set leaking where whoever installed the system used several connectors on the line set. He quoted you replacing the line set to get rid of the connectors and have less of a chance of a leak ever occurring again. Line sets are not kept on the service trucks. Replacing the line set is a time consuming task and the schedule was full that day. If we could have done it that day we would have. The tech came back out the next day and replaced the line set. He pressurized the system with 200 psi of nitrogen and let it sit and the pressure never changed. He then released the nitrogen and proceeded to pull a vacuum on the system. He pulled it down to 250 microns. If there was another leak in your system at the time of pressurization the pressure would have never held. If there was a leak during the vacuum process it would have never reached 500 microns let alone 250 microns. When confronted about smelling like weed the tech offered to go to Lab Corp. and take a drug test. I am sorry if you thought he was using marijuana but I can tell you some stories of what we encounter at other customers houses. So maybe you were smelling something he encountered somewhere else and it left a smell on him."
Shane spent a lot of time answering my questions and explaining what he had done. I will ask for Shane again in the late fall when I have the winter service done. I would recommend this company.
