Nearly impossible to get in contact with.  If you call during the day, they are unable to take a message and ask to call in the evening.  Played phone tag for approximately three weeks and I have finally given up.  I called over a month ago to see about having a rotten tree limb taken down in my backyard after noticing them doing work on Forest Avenue and researching on Angie's List.  Unfortunately,  the limb came down last week on my power line requiring tree trimmers from Dominion Power to remove.

William and his crew removed two large trees in our backyard. They were hard working and very efficient. William gave us the best quote for the services provided. We will definitely use Shady Tree Service again.

Flat line wind cut two oak trees in half and took down one pine. My yard was a disaster - looked as bad as when the hurrican hit. Channel 8 news showed up because the damage was so bad. It happened on a Saturday afternoon - he showed up a couple of hours later by chance, I had called someone already, but they had not showed up. He made me feel so at ease that I cancelled the other service. He showed up the next morning at 8:00, just like he said, and it was a Sunday. He and his crew were the most kind and hard-working individuals I had encountered in a long time. When they finished, you could not even tell anything had happened. I have recommended them to everyone I know.

We have been extremely pleased with the service. The crew is very courteous, they do great work on removing the trees and or reshaping them, do a fantastic job cleaning up after perfomring the requested work, and take care not to trample on exisitng plants. Their price was very reasonable for the amount of work performed. The only thing was that with the second job, after the estimate was given, I had to make several calls to confirm a date for the work to be done. Regardless, we will definitely have them again and have referred them to other people.
