Normally the cost to fix a break was under $100 and maximum $200 for difficult breaks.  In this case I was charged $990, the full cost of the four "whacks" taken to solve the problem.  Whereas I had tolerated higher than normal service call charges for some time, it did not make sense to change suppliers due to their familiarity with my system but this was the final straw that broke the camel's back.  The problem is in the way this business is run, very customer unfriendly!  First, they use your previously used credit card information to automatically charge for their services (note that I never authorized continuing charges on my card but had accepted them in the past as it has not been a problem previously).  In this case I had no idea that I was being charged almost $1000 and obviously would not have approved this amount without a clear explanation.  Second, no detailed invoice was ever sent until I requested it while investigating the charge after the fact.  Third, while I knew the technicion did not solve the problem on the first trip, I was not told in advance that they were making multiple trips return trips at my expense.  I should have been notified in advance that they could not find the break and that I was paying until they did so!  Finally, when I challenged the charges I was told essentially that it was my fault, that a person working for me had damaged the fence in the course of this one week exercise (my yardman said he was not in the area questioned and he is particularly sensitive to the dog fence). 
Bottom line was that Outdoor Services insisted they did the best they could under the circumstances, that I was not due any adjustment in the amount charged and essentially, they would rather have my money than for me to continue as a client.  The message here is if you use Outdoor Services for anything be very cautious.  Do not pay them in advance for services, authorize continuing charges on your credit card, or even pay by credit card at all as they will put through unauthorized charges on it.  Pay only by check, after the work is done and after an invoice is presented.

I would never recommend this company, their products or services to anyone.

We had to call them back out to re-do the yard. Two months now and very little to no grass in certain areas.  The jury is still out but as of today, we are not happy with the services provided. We now have more weeds growing in the yard that was not there prior to them re-doing the yard.

They did a pretty good job. They were great. They were prompt. They came on time. They gave me the estimate. They showed up on time and put the trees in. Actually two of the trees died. They came back the next season and replaced them. That was nice. They were pretty straightforward. I have a design plan that has the design stuff they have got to do. We are happy with the trees that they have put in. I’ve probably used them before and I think my neighbors have used them a bunch of times. The trees were good. I would use them again in the future.

They have package plans to do a complete yard care system including fertilizing, seeding, trimming hedges, mowing, ect. I payed for an initial yard cleanup and trimming. My yard has a lot of hedges and trees and flower beds and it was a mess. After that I got them on a contract to come every 2 weeks. They show up on either Thurs of Fri so the yard looks nice for the weekend. They do a great job. They cost a little more but I don't have to worry about scheduling with them or having a check ready. They just send a bill in the mail and they come do their work. My only issue was they didn't come before thanksgiving to clean the yard like they said.
