LARRY'S Home Improvements and Repairs

Larry contacted me within a day or 2 to set up a time to come and look at project. Larry did an excellent job. Wall with closet door (installed by Larry) is very sturdy and well built. Completely satisfied with job.

It went fairly well. He had to come back and re-do one of the things that he had fixed. It was economical. I think it was reasonable. He was punctual and completed the work in good time. They are local and he does a lot of work in our community.

Larry returned my call right away and we scheduled an appointment for the following week.  He arrived with an assistant, right on time.  It took him just a few minutes to assess the problem - they had installed it too close to the actual front door.  He was off to buy supplies and returned in a short while to take down and re-hang the storm door.
The hinge that closes the door on the top was, at that  point, hanging off so I assumed he'd need to replace it.  I mentioned this to him thinking that he would need to buy a new one while he was picking up supplies.  No problem, he said, we can fix that with what we have :-).
They finished the job in an hour or two, were very professional and did a beautiful job.  The door closes perfectly every time - in fact, we'd gotten so used to a door that "hangs" open it occasionally whacks me from behind because it closes so quickly.  This is a good problem to have.  We just have to get used to a door that works the way it is supposed to!
I would, and will, call Larry again for any household "fix-it" jobs.  I highly recommend him!!

He fished cable through the walls and crawl space and installed railing in the garage.  Cleaned up all drywall and made it all look like it was built with the home.  Arrived on time and was done within two hours.  Reinstalled all of the insulation and ensure everything was secured.
Great job and will use his services again.

I contacted Larry through Angie's List email on 12/9 and he responded within a couple hours. He contacted me by phone on 12/10 to set up an appointment and came out on 12/11 to provide an estimate. I appreciated Larry's quick response and friendliness but decided to go with another company that have a lower price quote. We are keeping Larry in mind for future improvements!

Communication prior to the job was via email and the scheduling was easy. The guys arrived on time and got right to work. Larry mentioned that he had worked in a door shop for many years and it showed. He is clearly an expert door hanger. The previous bathroom door never closed correctly. It was gappy and the latch didn't catch right. The new door works perfectly. Larry had to make several adjustments to make this so, but he just kept at it until it was right. The top of the bedroom door was scraping the door jam so I thought it had to be trimmed, but he fixed it by repositioning the hinges. Overall I was very pleased with the work and will contact Larry again for other jobs.

Larry goes above and beyond to please his customers. I will definitely call Larry for future projects.

Larry arrived on time and got right to work. He was very attentive to what we wanted and did very good work. Only downside is he can be hard to reach on the phone, which may be because he is on the job a lot. Will definitely get him to do more work in the future.

I called Larry twice before getting a call back and after two scheduled visits had to be cancelled (one on my account and one on his), he came on 02/21/13 and did the job.  The insulation had not fallen down as I had thought, but the trap door was in need of repair.  He sanded and painted the trap door.  He charges $50.00 an hour which I thought was outrageous. He charged $10.00 for a little bit of paint and sandpaper. He did an adequate job but I will not use him again due to the price. I felt obligated to let him do the work since he was here. I should have asked him on the phone what he charged, so that was negligence on my part.

Was professional and on time and did great work. Will be calling Larry again.

First of all, I must say thatLarry was very punctional.  When he said he was would be here at 11:00,  the door bell rang at exactl!!11:00 !!!  He was very polite with vast knowledge in many areas.
We initially called Mr. White to repair the extrior trim of an octagon stained glass window frame.  When the job was completed, the window looked better than it ever has at a very minimal price.  While he was here, we had him check a small water leak under the sink. He tightened  several connections at no charge which ceased all further leaking.
Then we had a small of the extrior door entry which needed some paint.  He agreed to complete this at a very reasonable price.  He did not simply paint, he was sure to sand the wood first and then properly paint.
 
Finally, we asked if he could check the water faucet in the bath tub as it has been leaking for a while.  He told us the falucet seemed fine, it just needed a naw washer.  He went to Lowe's, picked up and installed the washer and then the faucet orked like new.
Overall, we have found the only handyman we will ever need.

We were seeking a creative solution to give the entrance to our kitchen a more open effect without doing an demolition. Larry came in and gave an accurate quote to widen a doorway.  We discussed other ideas and dreams that I had and Larry help me stay realistic in what was reasonable to spend on my 30 year old 1,800 sq ft home.  I appreciated that he wasn't out to get me to spend as much money as I could. He also made a suggestion of replacing a couple of doorknobs that protruded into the opening with smaller knobs and a magnetic catch.  This opened up the area by 4+ inches.  He widened the door but at our request left it unpainted.  He also brought in a sheetrock contractor to patch a 12" square opening from a leak repair in our textured ceiling; the repair was a perfect match.  We were very pleased.

The first time I called Larry, he actually showed up the same day to give me an estimate.  The price was reasonable.  The team was always there exactly when they said they would be.  I am delighted with the quality of all the work that was done.  They were extremely professional.  I will definitely recommend this company to any of my friends who need work done on their home.  As a matter of fact, I have already recommended Larry to quite a few people.  Excellent work!

He does such a good job we have had him back here or 7 times. He made a second trip to finish the job and didn't even charge us. We had a leak behind the wall. His prices are excellent.

Called Larry to come and give me an estimate for installation of pull-down attic stairs.  Larry came when he said he would and called a few days later with the estimate for three different options on stairs.  We set up a date for installation, Larry came on time and within 4 hours I had stairs to my attic space.  He and his partner were very polite and they cleaned up after themselves very nicely.  The price for the job was very reasonable.  I would definitely have this gentleman back the next time I need work done.

He has done some staircase job in my home for which he put an anchor. I really like his job. They discuss the things before starting and they did an excellent job. The price is really excellent. The services were great, they did a four hour job and cleaned up the area. His response is good, when I called him, he was right on the phone. Their punctuality is great. They are very professional in discussing things and explaining it.

He didn’t do any work for me.  He kind of found what I needed and I actually needed a different person.  He didn’t charge me anything for the visit.  He was very good.  He serviced some other things around the house though he couldn’t do the work for which I called him.  He was very good.

We have been extremely pleased with his quality of work, his professionalism and how quickly he gets the job done at a reasonable price. Some of the projects we purchased the necessary items ourselves after he gave us a list of what we needed to get and some we let Larry purchase and he provided us with a receipt. We will continue to use Larry in future projects that arise at our home. We are glad we found him on Angie's list.
