Everything went well, glad to have this quote as it was very competitive. There was a comparison between Trane and Rheem and the prices were very attractive. This proposal was a finalist for our business, but in the end we chose an alternative offered by an older employee owned firm with excellent personal referrals and recommendations from Angie's List.

We use Home Depot a lot and they're always excellent. They're friendly and there's always people to help. There are experts that tell you how to get the job done as well.

The service at Home Depot was great. This is the only place I go for service. The people know me by name. They are always willing to help out and spend as much time as you need with them if you have a problem.

I was given a quote at the store. However, they do not mention that there are extra charges for removing old counter top, cook top cut out, cook top install, plugging in the cooking top to the electrical outlet, hooking up the sink pipe, on and on and on. These things I learned when they mailed me the contract, and thank goodness I caught this in time. I let my son do the extras, except for the cutting out for the sink. The quote given me at the store was actually doubled by the time the contract was mailed to me. The countertop work was okay, but for all you innocents out there, beware of the extras. I have another report for kitchen vinyl which you should be aware of.

The roofing project went well. It took almost one month from the time we signed the contract until the work began. The work was completed in about a day and a half. They cleaned up as best they could, using a magnet to pick up any stray nails. We know that we could probably have gotten the roof replaced for less money than we spent with Home Depot, but we feel more secure knowing that their contractors were licensed, insured, and underwent periodic drug testing. In addition, we have a great warranty on our roof that IS transferable upon our sale of the house. And we know that if anything were to ever go wrong, Home Depot will always be there to call (unlike a private contractor who may be out of business by the time you need them to fix something that should be under warranty). We are very satisfied by the much-improved look of our roof.
