I have 2005 F-150 FX4 with a Fabtech 6: lift. I brought it to Taylor because it had 80k miles on and the front Fabtech struts were worn out. Taylor told me that switching to the factory struts/springs with a big steel sleeve spacing device was the way to go and would last much longer than the more expensive Fabtech parts. Sounded good so I told him to do it. In the process he told me my ball joints Upper and lower were shot so I had him replace those as well to a tune of well over a $1000 for all the work. About 10 months later I started to notice the front ties rubbing when I was turning. While I had in the normal shop I told them to take a look for me. Upper and lower ball joints were shot (in about 12k miles and 10 months from Hollywood doing the same work) The normal shop even told me they looked new, just worn out, a symptom they said was indicative of lower quality parts.
After the normal shop put in the new ball joints, I took it back to Hollywood as I had noticed the front had sagged about 1 or so. It was 11 months, and 13k miles from when they put in the new springs that they recommended. Taylor told me the springs were indeed sagging, but that it was outside of his 12 month/12 mile guarantee so he would do the work again and be happy to charge me again for it. Then he proceeded to tell me the tires were rubbing because they were too big. These are same tires that were on the truck when he did/suggested all of the work, as well as the same size I have had on the truck from the start, but all of the sudden, they are too big to cover his poor quality work. Would not recommend using him. He made little to no effort to make things right for me, even though I had to pay to redo all of the work he did.Since this program doesn't allow cut and paste, I will have to ask you to read the above.
