I had some very old galvanized pipes in the kitchen that had eroded from the inside out (very common issue based on age of my home). Contacted a few trusted companies and added Bear as a consideration. It was the first time I’d ever contacted them for work. Not only were they the first to respond, but Bob and his helper Shawn(sp?) were very focused and diligent with fully identifying the problem and how to fix the issue long term. Before the other quotes came in, I knew these were the folks to hire. The estimate was competitive and the work was completed inside of 4hrs on the date we scheduled. I was so impressed that i asked them to provide an estimate for another plumbing task i’d been considering over the past few years (replacing laundry room plumbing, which was WAY overdue) and they provided yet another stellar experience. I couldn’t be happier with the work that was completed and I’m more than happy to share this experience with folks I know, especially if they find themselves in a similar predicament. Also, anyone who is so personable that he can tell it’s completely appropriate to drop quotes from the Princess Bride during an estimate visit is good people in my book. Thanks again, Miracle Max!

Adam and his team of professionals truly exemplify customer service. From the start, it was clear their priority was to resolve my issue(s) permanently, not for a quick invoice. They showed the utmost respect for my time, property, and family. They came early, stayed late and provided the best customer service experience I've had. Bob was prompt and professional, and took care of the issues with both toilets quickly and without making a mess. He was polite and friendly, answered all of our questions and took care of everything we needed done without any hassles. He also fixed up a water pressure issue we were having in our kitchen sink and will be sending us an estimate to come and replace our old water heater on a future visit. Great work at a fair price. Highly recommended.

2/17/2021 - Bob Corson and Shawn came out to assess small stain forming below our tankless hot water heater. They performed a thorough check of our unit and determined a valve needed to be tightened. While there, they discovered a code violation and fixed it. Bob was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in explaining our unit and offered helpful hints and indicators should our unit malfunction. I will definitely contact Bear Mechanical again for future plumbing needs.

Adam and Chris called before showing up, and arrived on time as promised. I explained what I wanted exactly. I made him aware upfront that the unit was old and that I was already aware of that. The unit does cool the house off, but when it gets extremely hot outside, the AC does not cool the whole house as well, not until the temp drops as the evening comes on. I explained to him that we have been in the home for 5 years and had never had the unit maintenance and the owners before us who knows when they ever did. So I just wanted it cleaned and freon added. He changed my filter (which I provided) and cleaned and cleaned my vent out, and cleaned my unit, the coils, drains, removed debris, and added 2 lbs of freon all for $295, which included the $95 service call. He stated he got it working the best that it will work for its age and yes, the house feels GREAT!! I am very pleased with this company and when we upgrade, we will be calling them!

PERFECTLY! Got a quick, detailed written estimate within 24 hours of call. Owner Adam Lucas and crew of 3 arrived ON TIME, work quickly and quietly, kept the area clean and I had no after visit clean up to do! Best of all, the heat pump recommended (Am Std), appears to be the right one. After 8.5 years I finally have a cool and very comfortable 2nd floor! Well done Adam and crew!! Thank you!!!

Adam was very professional, he come in looked at the unit and diagnosed the problem. He commented on the age of the furnace as well as its overall condition. The furnace needed a new control board. The cost of the control board with approximately $500. The charge for the diagnostic and installation for the new control board was an additional $250. Bear Mechanical did honor the Angieslist discount for %10.

Adam, Bob, and the team worked all day in the heat to not only install a new system in our historic home (1900), but to make repairs to the old ductwork after finding problems along the way. They went above and beyond our expectations. Friendly, fast-working, reliable. I'd highly recommend!

Well. It was determined that the issue is not with the HVAC. This was in line with another provider and helped to pin down the problem.

2 projects both are complete and functional

The repair was done quickly and efficiently. I have a rooftop unit and Adam was familiar with the location and type of units. He showed me the bad part and explained how it worked. He was running a little late due to the previous job but he called and kept me informed of his progress and when he was on the way. The only reason I gave a B rating on the cost is that I have nothing to compare it to so I have no idea if the price was within the reasonable range.
