Do not trust them. They lied to me several times. The worst service ever. I had issue with the sound system on my Mercedes and called this company and explained the problem. The owner Gary told me that it is an easy fix and asked me to bring the car . I took my car to their shop they removed the amplifier to test. However it took 3 weeks to get a response. I kept calling and every time I called Gary told me that he would call me back but never did. I finally was able to reach him after 3 weeks. He told me to come next day in the morning and will take few hours to fix it. I went their shop, he said he can’t do it he is busy and came back later. I left my car in his shop and had to rent a car. I called next day he said my car is in the repair and about to finish soon. When I went there my car was still in the parking lot they even haven’t started any thing. He said come back later. This person has lied to me several times. Do not trust him and never use his services.

These folks are the "go to guys" for audio and automotive electronics. All of their employees are hard working professionals, who know their craft. The service writer, Brian, made constructive suggestions to ensure an ideal outcome. Same with the owner, Gary. A gentleman, scholar and a "straight shooter." As an engineer, I know that good work isn't cheap and cheap work, isn't any good. You get true value for your hard earned money, and the Hurley's backs, what it sells and installs.

They replaced the receiver and it works fine.

Hurley’s Auto Audio Review I have found that for anything auto electronic, Hurley’s is the place to go. With my expanded highway driving, I found that I needed to obtain a dash cam unit for my vehicle in order to document other’s questionable driving habits. Gary, the owner of Hurley’s, proved most helpful in guiding me through the installation process and his team did an outstanding job at installing a front view dash cam unit, while I waited, and at a most reasonable price. I strongly recommend Hurley’s services for any auto electronic item you may need.

Things went smoothly. I went in to look over their selections and get a price estimate.  After deciding on what I wanted, I scheduled an appointment.  Their location is exceptionally convenient, as it is only about 150 yards from the Spring Hill Metro station on the Silver Line.  Even though I work in Alexandria, being located this close to a Metro rail station made dropping off my car before work a non-event.  The work was finished later that day, as promised, and I picked up my car after work.
When the service tech was showing me how everything operated, he realized they had installed the wrong radio.  The one they had installed did not have Bluetooth, contrary to what I had ordered.  However, they had also not charged me for the more expensive radio either.  Upon realizing their mistake, they said I could bring the car back at my convenience and they would swap out the stereo while I waited.  The initial installation, including the backup camera and the auxiliary connections, had taken several hours, but merely swapping the stereo would not take nearly as long.  We agreed that I would have my car there first thing Saturday when they opened.  I did, and the work was finished right away, with me only paying the price difference in the two stereos.
Everybody makes mistakes; it's how they handle the mistakes that separates the good merchants from the bad ones.  Hurley's proactively took the initiative to make things right the instant they realized their mistake, and that is the mark of a quality and trustworthy merchant.  I highly recommend them for car audio, etc. needs.  Will, the manager, and Gary (I think the owner) were especially helpful and friendly.

It ended well. My wife's downtown car (with 400 car door dents) is a 2004 Toyota with 60,000 miles. Perfect, except not smart phone friendly. I had an auto blue tooth for her iPhone installed for mother's day. It turns out this particular model of Toyota has JBL speakers, a Harmon Karden amp and a Toyota tuner, not the standard car audio system. They couldn't get rid of a base hum in one channel of the blue tooth. We returned it a couple times. Each time they pronounced it ready. It still wasn't right. They tried very very hard to make it as good as possible but ultimately gave us three choices 1) take it as it is. 2) remove it and refund our money or 3) install a state-of-the art, complete blue tooth radio/CD/amp for what we have already paid. We chose the latter and are pleased. I was pleased with their professionalism. I am confident they know what they are doing. And I was pleased that they were adamant through all of the back and forth that we would be pleased when they were done.
We are pleased.

My car dealer provided two recommendations for the installation of a new after-market camera in our 2007 model sedan. I selected Hurley's Auto Audio and am very pleased with the work and the price. They gave me an cost estimate and an installation time estimate when I call on the phone, both of which were very reasonable. I took the car in as agreed this morning and they completed the work exactly as we had agreed. Hurley's is very professional, very competent and very reasonably priced. I am glad to recommend them.

Sounds good. They called me 1/2 hour after the drop-off, to get a question answered, which was good. They dropped me off at the local bus terminal, so I could get to work (in Arctic Vortex). I was paying for one-stop shopping, and got it. I did find the radio at a significantly cheaper price on Amazon afterwards.

Everything went fine.  It took a little longer than expected but what mattered was that it was done right.  This group are professionals and know their job.  I'd use them again.  After I returned to pick up the car, the tech came out and showed me all the ways the new radio system worked.  I wasn't expecting that . Also the owner is a great guy and doesn't suffer fools lightly.  He knows his business and knows he knows it.  He;'s there to have his guys do a good job.  Great outfit.

Perhaps not immodestly, I'll claim to be something of a home stereo audiophile.  I'm accustomed to trouble-shooting problems with complex home stereo systems, and I'm also a fair hand at car mechanics--but I just loath taking car interiors apart--so I consulted Angie's List to find a top-notch outfit to trouble-shoot an intermittent channel problem on my 2006 350 SLK.  Hurley's on Spring Hill Road in northern Virginia came highly recommended.
As is not uncommon with intermittent problems, it refused to evidence itself on the first two visits, but the folks at Hurley's spent time looking for the issue on both instances and declined to charge me.  On the third visit I brought a replacement radio with me to swap out.  That unit proved to have problems of its own, not recognizing the 6-disc changer in the car, and not consistently recognizing the single-disc changer in the unit itself when seeking to eject the CD therein.  Still, it was useful in that it did not cure the channel problem, thereby suggesting the issue lay in the speaker itself, not the head unit.
All told, Hurley's spent a couple of hours looking at the car, swapping the units back and forth, testing the individual circuits, and so on, and when I asked for a bill, they said $50.  It was more than fair, I thought.  Much more, so I insisted on paying more.  After all, when you find competent, reasonable people, you want them to stay in business.

My experience with this company has been horrible, from my perspective.  I went out of my way to use this company instead of many other car audio companies that are much closer to me, because of all the positive reviews on Angie's List, and definitely regret it. I feel like they showed very little creativity in what they recommended (which was very expensive), and the overall installation job was extremely disappointing.  When I dropped off my car, they talked me into getting more than I wanted--specifically a rear camera--which required them to drill more holes in my ride than I was expecting. They didn't explain what the final result would be, and it was not what I expected at all.  When I was able to finally get my car, I noticed on the way home that my speedometer, odometer and other internal controls in the car didn't work.  They did indeed offer to remedy the situation and had me go to Enterprise to rent a car while mine was being fixed.  Of course they didn't pick up the cost of the car after they had me drop it off, and I had to contact them about reimbursement once I realized that they weren't actually going to make it convenient for me at all. I strongly encourage anyone to at least explore other service providers before hiring this company, because I think that they provide very little value relative to how much they charge. In contrast, my experience getting a radio installed at Best Buy a few years back was as easy as you would expect it to be, and I wish I hadn't tried to hire what I thought was a "higher end", more customized shop because the result is so incredibly disappointig
