The work is always performed on schedule. The customer is always given a detailed account of what is needed and what the estimated costs will be. In addition, the customer is advised what work can be done at a later date and what should be done now. I like being briefed in this manner because it enables me to schedule auto work based upon my budget. I'm not crazy about having unnecessary work done on the vehicles. However, I really appreciate knowing what work needs to be done to prevent further problems. Auto Tech of Tysons is really good about spelling out what needs to be done and what can wait.

I had someone else (a family member) look at the problem and they thought it was a very expensive fix. They thought the part required was $700.00 new and was looking for a used part to fix the car. I joined Angie's List and thought I would try to see if an auto repair firm could confirm the problem. When I called Auto Tech and described my symptoms, he told me to bring in the car and they would be able to let me know if it could be easily fixed. That is exactly what they did, fixed the car and did so very quickly.

They are very honest, and they'll find ways to fix any problems so that you wont have to shell out the big bucks for repairs. I've even referred people to them and nobody has ever had a bad experience.

WONDERFUL! After finding them on Angie's list, I drove by the shop during lunch one day. Ralph came to check out the rattle on the bottom of my car, which he identified right away. He could have completed it that afternoon, but I decided to come back another day to get my full 90k service done. They did a great job for an affordable expense. I also recommended them to one of my co-workers who needed some break work done in order to sell her car. They were friendly and affordable (which says a lot for the Tyson's area). Most of all, I did not feel like they were trying to up-sell me.

Everything went great. The technicians checked out the problems that I described and they explained what needed to be done and what was not necessary. I also had the clutch checked on the Solara. Ralph explained why it behaved as described and why there was actually nothing mechanically wrong with it. So, there was no expense for the clutch. The front end on the Solara had been rattling and the problem did require the replacement of the front struts. The rattling is gone and the vehicle rides much more stable.

I have been to Auto Tech several times and have always been pleased with the service and the prices. I wish they were open longer during the day, but they have a night drop box for keys and it is easy to pay over the phone with a credit card. The service always seems to be good and they do exactly what is needed. I've never felt that they were recommending unneeded services. I would recommend Auto Tech to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

Ralph and all his staff were most helpful and courteous. Service was same day. Their opening and closing times are civilized. 9 to 6. These guys are honest. They only do what is necessary. That is why I have taken my cars Auto Tech many times. And the cost was at least half of what it would have been at dealership.

OVER THE YEARS, THEY HAVE SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY BY COUNTERING DEALERSHIP QUOTES & UNETHICAL RETAIL STORE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WORK THAT SIMPLY DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE. EXAMPLE: THE NOISE IN MY BRAKES MEANT THEY SIMPLY NEEDED CLEANING- NOT REPLACED. I'M STILL DRIVING ON THEM ALMOST A YEAR LATER.
