Friendly if things go well, I had a slightly peculiar situation but not out of ordinary and that's when they got slightly impatient. The officers were overwhelmed by applicants, probably a good problem to have for a business. They resold my mortgage, which meant they wanted to make the package look as polished as possible, hence the intrusiveness to my employer and source of money for every cent. Compared to friends experience at other lenders, they ask much more than necessary. This was balanced by their rock bottom rates/fees and can be worth it in many cases, I probably would have redone with an in-town lender to save some frustration, though in the end they waived the extraneous requests to meet the closing deadline.

My refinance went excellent thanks to my Sr. Loan Officer, Charles Nicholson (Chip). Chip went above and beyond in explaining and assisting me throughout the whole refinance process. He was very Professional, personable and knowledgeable in his job. He saved me hundreds of dollars each month and I am thrilled with the results. I highly recommend him without reservations.

Everyone that I dealt with throughout this refinance were wonderful. From the Loan Officer, Charles Nicholson (Chip) and the Loan Officer, Zahra Shah and Katherine Gontscharow were very helpful, thorough and professional. Not to forget the Title company, myglobaltitle, and the notary that was sent to my home. All were very responsive to my questions, phone calls and emails. They made the entire refinance process stress free, fast and professional. After comparing 3 major companies, Aurora Financial offered the lowest rate with the lowest closing costs. They really could not have done any better. I highly recommend, without reservation. I would also like to mention that 2 of my coworkers started their refinance 5 days after mine closed as I told them how happy I was.

Peter Chun was extremely professional, attentive, competent and quick to address every aspect of the refinancing process. I have refinanced in the past and can say that this was “by far” the best experience and service I have ever had. I highly recommend him when it comes to home refinancing.

Absolutely wonderful. I never heard of Aurora Financial so I was a bit concerned about using them but I gave them the chance because of their very competitive rate and, unlike other lenders, did not charge loan processing and underwriting fees, which could easily amount to over $1000. In the end Aurora Financial did a wonderful job. In particular, I used Kais Baker and Andrew Dang to help me get from start to finish and they were fabulous to work with, consistently punctual and accurate with their guidance. They always responded to my e-mails and gave me a call back when I had questions that needed to be answered by phone. Both Kais and Andrew worked great as a team and addressed all my concerns. In fact, I was so delighted with their service I immediately recommended them both to my close family friends.

Overall, it went smoothly. Peter and Andrew were very professional and pleasant to work with. I'd hire them again. The fees were upfront and there were no surprises. I gave punctuality a B because my closing did get delayed once; they asked me to submit the condo questionnaires a day before the scheduled closing date and I had to pay extra (+150) to get it rushed but still wasn't able to close it on time. Also I thought the employment verification process were a little excessive for someone with same W2 employer past 4 + years. (total 4 pay stubs, 3 written employment verification letter from HR(two before and one after closing). I had to call my HR multiple times to get the letters sent out in order to avoid another delay in my closing. But I understand if that's what they require from everyone during the pandemic. Other than small issues listed above, It was pretty painless process. I would recommend them to friends/family.

We wanted to take advantage of current low mortgage interest rates. With excellent credit and 15 years of timely payments to our original big-bank lender, we thought it would be easy to refinance with them. Unfortunately, it seemed big-bank was not in a hurry to help us save money and after much time wasted, the rate they offered was not competitive. Next, we checked with a small local bank and then a local credit union, but their service seemed slow and the costs of refinancing were surprisingly high. On the advice of a family member who works in banking, we applied with Aurora. Their rate was excellent and the cost of refinancing was low. Absolutely every contact through the process was cordial and professional. There were no surprises. Their on-line portal was easy to use. We knew who to contact every step of the way and had no difficulty reaching our loan officer, Peter Chun, our mortgage processor, Andrew Dang, or our mortgage closer, Katya Gontscharow. After checking out a variety of options for refinancing, we found that direct mortgage lender Aurora provided favorable pricing and superior customer service.
