"Thank you for years of using our services. We look forward to many more."
I think it is great they are giving their drivers a long, Christmas weekend. But I don't think leaving 40% of their customers (everyone who has a Thursday or a Friday pick-up) to manage 15-days of trash during the holidays is even fair customer service. They could have created other options, but didn't.
Other options would have meant paying the drivers overtime to pick-up a day earlier, or on another unscheduled day. And they chose not to provide service instead of dealing with the expense or the scheduling challenge. That means Joe & Gwynanne Rogers, who own the company, get to appear generous to their drivers.
Meanwhile, almost half their customers will deal with no pick-up next week, and a delayed pick-up the following week -- 15 days of accumulated trash and garbage during the holidays. Feels like I'm the one being generous, and without being asked. This was very short-sighted, and from a company that loudly claims to provide great customer service.
"Thank you for the feedback, since this review had been written, steps where taken to resolve. Valley Waste is happy to be still servicing your area."
