Without a doubt or slightest hesitation I would refer Tommy Wilson and Vertex Roofing Contractors to anyone. The level of professionalism and quality of work performed by Tommy and Vertex Roofing folks was excellent and exceeded all expectation. Trust me, this isn't a glorified lip service coming from a homeowner who was satisfied with the job his Roofing Contractor did. I am a retired ex-owner of a General Contracting business who dealt with many trades and specialty contractors'. During those years, it was a rarity to have the opportunity and pleasure to deal with company such as Vertex Roofing. Their level of professionalism and courtesy was exceptional; they kept me informed throughout the project, they arrived prepared and on time, they performed all the services they promised plus a few extras and everything was done at a very high level of quality. They're professional, knowledgeable and extremely competitive with their pricing. We had a terrific experience with Vertex. They are professional and prompt. We replaced our roof and found dealing with Vertex to be stress-free and they exceeded our expectations. Joe came out to give an estimate on patching the roof and replacing the gutters before I actually bought the house. (Very helpful. This was a deciding factor in my purchase, and I appreciated that they were able to get someone in on short notice.) The estimate was fair, which is why I gave them a B. (I only give A on price if I feel like I got a particularly good deal.) We scheduled the roof work, and it was completed on schedule.
There was some confusion with the gutters. I'm not really sure what the confusion was, because it wasn't communicated to me. I called the office at one point to find out why the installation was delayed. I didn't get a clear answer, but was told that I'd be contacted in a few days to schedule the work. I didn't hear anything back, but a week and a half later, I came home to new gutters.
Honestly, I don't know enough about roofs or gutters to vouch for the quality of the work that was done. I haven't noticed any issues, so I'm assuming the quality is good.

The estimate was painless.  We did not have to be home.   They got back to us promptly

with what we thought was a fair estimate.  We even went with the lifetime architectual shingles because the price was so good.    The crew was prompt and very efficient.  The clean up after the install was great.  Payment was easy because the office staff is very helpful.

date was moved forward because of a cancellation.
The crew arrived on time and cleaned up very well after the roof was replaced.  The whole process was an easy one for me,

I was refererred to this company by a friend. They came out and did an estimate to repair my roof. I had some shingles blow off. They assured me that the roof over all was in good shape and didn't need to be replaced for a few more years. They gave me a solid price that I felt very comfortable with. I was happy that they were able to come out later that week to do the repair. They arrived the day they said they would and got right to work. They were done in no time which was nice because my wife was able to go about her day. The shingles were a  good match consdiering my roof is several years old.
Great job and would have them back to work on my house.

I was actually recommended  to Vertex from a co-worker. I called them see if I could get an estimate on having a new roof done. We  moved to our house 3 years ago and figured that it was time. I don't think the owners before me replaced it while they lived there. The office set up an appointment for the next day. It was nice too that we didn't have to take off of work to meet the estimator. When I came home from work there was a card in the door from the estimator, Joe, letting me know  that he did come out to measure the roof.
The following day I had an estimate emailed over to me. I was quite shocked at how detailed the email was. The email included a step by step of what would be done from start to finish. The estimate also noted that I could need to have wood replaced and the cost and wood decking options. The estimate also broke down the cost of two different shingle types. From a standard 3-tab shingle to and Architectural one.  He even included a price to just repair the bad spots in case I wanted to hold off replacing the roof. He attached photos of the roof and showed where the bad spots were and what would need to be done to just repair the roof. Our roof was worse than I thought. So we decided to replace the whole thing. We weren't sure of the differences in shingles so I called and he explained the differences and then dropped of  samples so I could see the actual difference. We had a meeting with one other company. We didn't feel as comfortable with the explanation of work and the price was way higher. So it was clear to us to go with Vertex. Once we decided on the Architectural shingles we fax over the signed contract. They called us back that day to set up a date.
The shingles got delivered a few days before they were scheduled to start the  job just as they said they would. They came out the day they said they would. The crew was very nice and the supervisor was very nice too. He came to the door to let us know they were there and that If we had any questions or concerns to let him know.  The worked went along just as Joe's email had said it would. They let me know that I would need a few pieces of wood replaced and let me know what the charge would  be for that. Half way through the job I asked if they would finish and they assured me that it would be late but they would finish that day. They finished up by going through the yard checking for nails. They did tell me that because it was dark they may have missed some nails and that If I noticed them in the yard to let them know and they would come back out to get them. 
A few days later I received a call of the office making sure everything was okay. It was so nice and we knew that we had made the correct call by choosing them to do our roof. Everything was great I would recommend they to all my friends and family.

Let me start by saying everything was great from start to finish. I have a pleasant conversation with the secretary Sara to start. She set up a time that work for both me and the estimator. I was given a 1 hour show up window in stead of 4 as some had. I met with Joe who seemed down to earth and not trying to screw me over. He actually went up on the roof to inspect and measure it. When he came down we went  over the condition of the roof and gutters. He told me about shingle options and the pricing differences. We also discussed the the difference in the shingle manufactures. He made it easy for me to understand. We talked about the color and he had samples to show me. I wasn't sure exactly which to go with so Joe gave me a few prices depending on which shingle me and my husband choose. He left me with his card and told us to call if we had any questions. The office even followed up a couple of days later to make sure we didn't have any questions. We had already planned on going with them but it was nice to know that we were not just a piece of paper they sent out. We picked them based on price, how comfortable we felt with joe and the fact that they took there time to make sure we picked things correctly.
After we signed the contract they put us on the schedule for the following week. We did have to adjust the date due to the weather which we were happy to do. They called several days a head of time and not last minute. That showed me they do there research on weather. They let me know when the shingles were going to arrive. Which even though I wasn't home was nice incase i had been. The crew showed up on time and began to work immediately. Everyone was very nice. There was a supervisor that was there, Matt, incase I had questions. He also gave me his card. We need some extra ply wood from the initial estimate but Joe had warned us that that would be the case so it wasn't too much of a shock. Things moved along pretty well and Matt let me know early in the day that they would not finish in one day, do to the extra ply wood but what they didn't finish they would be back tomorrow to finish. They were back early the next morning and finished up the few hours they had left. The same day I had my gutters replaced also. That took only a few hours. And they were just as great as the other crew. They guys cleaned up everything and I was happy to see they went around with a magnet to get up any extra nails.
When the job was finished I got a call to make sure everything was up to my standards and see if I had any follow up questions.I did, I asked if they could send me some of there business cards. I really enjoyed them working on my house and would be happy to have them do more work on my home or my friends and family's. I would gladly recommend this company.
