U-Haul K St NE, DC, will rip you off. They will take your credit card number and withdraw enormous amounts. On the first two times, since I dropped off the truck when they were open, the guy who received the truck registered 100s of miles on me, thus billing me over $500 for what should have been $60 for each trip. I showed him pictures of odometer before and after, and forced him to correct what they were charging my card. The third time I dropped off the truck Sunday at 6pm, they were closed, so I parked and threw the key in the dropbox. By Monday 6am, they had charged me $561 for a $60 job max. I drove to them the next day because they don't answer the phone, showed them my pics. We agreed they'd refund me my money and charge me $88 instead. They did refund, but then they withdrew $166. I called corporate office. They took down my complaint and gave me a number, promised to call back. They never did. They stole $80, and that's only after I didn't let them steal $500. Thieves. Complete thievery.

They do an outstanding job. It is easy to make a reservation, they always have a truck available. If I need to cancel, I'm not penalized for cancelling; I like their policy. I often need it on Sundays for my daughter to do a show and the show doesn't end between 7 O'clock and 10 O'clock at night. They close at 5:00 PM, I pick it up at 6 O'clock so twenty-four hours later I would deliver it back to them at 6 O'clock. But they close at 5 O'clock, so if I need to return a little later, as long as they have it there before Monday morning, I don't get charged extra. The place is phenomenal; the trucks are clean and they are just really nice people.
