Went fine. The Arborist Inc. has done work for us for years and has always provided great service. This service has included in the past emergency removal of a very large tree that fell down across three properties and removal of other large trees due to disease. I was comfortable enough with them to let the most-recent work be done while I was out of town.

The dead oak tree was removed within a day of inspection as were the dead limbs from the other tree. The oak tree was bang next to the house and the other tree overhung it. The job from start to finish was done in a day, the cleanup was excellent in my absence and there was no collateral damage whatsoever. Communications with the team leader and his colleagues were very clear. They worked skilfully and safely. I have used this firm for >25 years and would gladly recommend them.

The tree was in our small row-house back yard, inaccessible to machinery. One guy climbed the tree and cut it down section by section from the top down, and with ropes and another two guys on the ground lowered each section to the ground. No worries for our house, our fences, or our neighbors. When they got done all that was left was the stump and a little bit of sawdust; almost nothing for us to clean up behind them.

The Arborist Inc. has been our arborist for as long as I can remember. We live on a wooded lot in Reston, VA. We were first-time homeowners when we moved in and knew nothing about caring for trees way back then. Our woodlot had been neglected by the prior owner, so we had to learn about trees quickly. We worked with several arborists in the area and were never satisfied until we found Tim (The Arborist). In the early days, Tim was the only climber. Now he advises his customers and supervises his crews. We never cease to be impressed with the care and skill of Tim and his crew. But perhaps the most important thing to me is Tim's knowledge and love of trees. He will NEVER recommend taking a tree down unless it really needs to come down. And he will never insist on use of a crane if his crew can climb the tree. In the past other companies have refused to do a take-down without rental of a giant crane and tear-down of our back-yard fence. Tim's crew is more skilled and they are able to safely use ropes secured to nearby trees so that they do not need to bring in excessive equipment. He owns a large truck with a very long-reach bucket, and that is often used for convenience, but it is always used from our driveway and does not incur an outside rental fee. Initially, we invited to Tim to bid on a removal of a very large oak. His pricing was so reasonable (much lower than the other two bids) that we gave the work to him. Now we only call The Arborist because we trust his judgement and we value his work so much. We have recommended him to two of our neighbors who have been very pleased with both his work and his price. There are a lot of "tree cutters" out there offering to do work cheaply. But if a tree limb is cut improperly it can kill the tree within a few years. This happened to our neighbor once. The long-term cost of using a cheap "tree-cutter" can therefore be very expensive. This will not happen with The Arborist. Tim is a true, certified, and very knowledgeable arborist. His work will enhance the value of your trees, and in the long run this is the most cost-efficient way to manage your property. When you live amongst the trees, your house and your life depend on the health of those trees. It is crucial to have an excellent arborist. Like clockwork. Workmen arrived early, did the work required, and cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't have asked for better.

They were prompt, professional, and did a great job both performing the work as well as cleaning up afterwards.

We have used The Arborist successfully for many years. As always, the work was performed in an outstanding manner. The workers wear safety equipment and are very careful in all respects. The trees were very big and were surrounded by many other trees on our wooded property. They avoided damaging other trees/vegetation, and mainly the house - which was very close to one of the trees.

I wasn't there when it was done, but stopped by soon after. The removal went smoothly and things were cleaned up nicely. The price was also significantly better than the other quote I received.

100% satisfied with quality and work ethics of Tim and his crew outstanding would highly recommend .Amazed by their knowledge regarding health of trees and how to care for them. They also cleaned everything up and took away all debris No damage to any part of my yard outstanding workers real credit to Tim.

A great deal of small scrap and dirt was dumped with the wood so it was difficult to stack and clean-up

The tree's removed were in various locations. We had one next to the house that was taken down with no issue, along with a couple of others that were along the border of a fence. All of the removal work was done well along with all the debris that was done. Everything was done before I expected it
The estimate provided was prompt and we experienced very professional service, before, during and after. A written quote with exact details to the services performed. The crew was also very professional as well. Tim has a great crew and is a very good as well. We would (and will) use again.

Excellent job. Texted at11:00 pm. TIm came by at 06:15. His crew came at 9:00. Deck was useable by 2:00. They also pruned several other trees that really needed it.

5 workers showed up and the 21-inch diameter Elm was removed in chunks using ropes and pulleys.  The team was careful to thoroughly clean up the neighbor's yard as well as mine.  They were professional and did not damage the yard or any of the new little trees that were in the path of the hand cart or kubota.  

A miscommunication on the appointment time had the team arrive in the afternoon vice the morning.  Tim apologized and they completed the job within the appointed day.

Tim (the owner) came to provide an estimate and spent a lot of time explaining how his team would use ropes to gently take down the tree piece by piece. He also said they'd use hand carts to bring the pieces out. This was important to us, as other companies insisted they'd have to drive vehicles into our back yard, and with a variety of underground drainage pipes, etc. across the yard, we really did not want to risk that.

Once we accepted Tim's estimate, he promptly called and scheduled a time for the work. The team arrived exactly on time, and performed the work exactly as Tim had described. In short, they were meticulous at every step, paying attention to every detail. We spoke with the lead climber when he was done (he'd also helped us mark the sprinkler heads when he arrived that morning), and he clearly was extremely experienced, and totally appreciated how important it was to get each piece down very gently. The job took the team much of the day, given the size of the tree.

The team's clean-up of the yard and driveway was also excellent.

I've used The Arborist before, and a number of neighbors saw them in action in our yard this time and asked for their card- and I made sure I provided them. I'd definitely call The Arborist again based on several jobs well done on our property.

Very professional level tree company with considerable knowledge about trees, which is why they call themselves Arborists.  Not your typical guys that show up with chainsaws and just cut away...

We've used The Arborist for years and trust their professional service. We appreciate Tim's insight into the impact removing one tree can have on the remaining trees in our yard. In this case we agreed to remove two medium size trees. Tim gave us a reasonable price and scheduled the job. This morning Cruz and Omar arrived at 7am and went to work. I didn't think you could remove trees quietly, but they did. All cuttings were ground up. When the work was complete the yard was immaculate. Another fine job by Tim and his crew.

We could not have asked for better service. They were prompt, professional, and very courteous. They removed the trees and even did us the favor of cutting the wood to size for our outdoor fire pit and stacking it for us where we wanted it. They even removed many large surface roots throughout the yard even though that was not in the original price. Two years later the gum tree looks better than it ever has and you can't even tell where the other trees used to be.

Inspected 4 trees including one we thought needed to be removed. Tim diagnosed the tree problems and explained why the large sick maple tree should be preserved and how to prune it for best chance of survival.  He disputed the 2 other tree services we consulted who wanted to take the tree down.  the crew was efficient and did a good job. They left no mess behind.

Tim DeCoste (owner) provided an assessment of a maple tree that had not started budding,  Turns out it had died.  He then offered options for replacement.  His crew came two days later (as promised) and replaced the tree.  Tim and his crew were very professional.  The crew was careful not to disturb surrounding areas and left the area clean and neat.

Superior service always!  The Arborist is professional and extrememly knowledgable.  Cleanup is always done perfectly. No unnecessary work is every suggested, unlike the companies that knock on my door telling me that trees or branches should be removed.

It was located next to some very expensive steps that cost over $3,000 and we had great concerns about it falling on them during removal. Quote was fair and prompt. Workmen showed up on scheduled day at scheduled time. No issues during or after removal. I would use The Arborist again and will. I have several more large trees that need removal.
