Swim Gem is a family owned business. We have been in the Manassas area for over 30 years. We offer great customer service for all your pool care needs. We have quality chemicals and other products. If you need a special part we will take the time to do everything possible to find it for you. Most of the employees have been with us for over 10 years. We have a very knowledgeable staff.

We originally scheduled our pool opening date last fall with Swim Gem Inc. for the middle of May, but had to cancel our scheduled date due to some other activities that would be taking place during the same timeframe. When we were finally ready to open the pool we called Swim Gem Inc. on 21 May and asked when would be the earliest they could open our pool. They were able to schedule us for 29 May, which I consider a great response considering this is a very busy time of year for them.
They showed up on 29 May and opened the pool without any issues. As always, they were very professional and opened the pool, installed the stairs and ralis, put the winter cover by our storage location and ensured they cleaned up around the pool when they were finished.
We've used Swim Gem Inc. to open and close our pool each year since we moved into our house 15 years ago and have nothing but great things to say about them for opening, closing and maintenance of the pool. They are very professional and have always been on time.

In October we schedule to have our pool closed on December 1st in order to have the pool open during the Thanksgiving weekend. On November 20th we recieved a call stating that they would have to close the pool either on Nov 21st or Nov 24th due to scheduling conflict. When asked about the original closing date we were informed that they were closing their offices on Nov 26th. When we called back on the 21st to complain to the owners we were informed that it was their mistake someone have mixed up the dates but by then the pool was already closed. They agreed to reopen the pool before Thanksgiving and then close it on the original date. They later called back and stated that since the pool was already closed they would not be returning. They were extremelly unprofessional and were not willing to work out a solution to their mistake.

"The customers roommate scheduled the closing and never mentioned it would be a problem. There was a lack of communication on their part. The roommate who scheduled the closing blamed us after his irate roommate wanted to be mad at someone. Unfortunately we had to absorb the brunt of it. The roommate was home at the time of the closing signed the invoice and never said a word about it not being closed at that time. The customer was never charged for that service so I'd say he made out pretty good. They received a free pool closing worth $450.00"
