Victor and his crew were extremely professional and very easy to work with. Victor was always readily available to answer any questions/concerns we had and was on site most of the time. The same crew was there from the beginning and they were very nice and courteous. They seemed to really care about the small details and before I pointed anything out, Victor would point it out and tell me they would take care of it. This is the 3rd project we have done on our house (using 3 different contractors) and by far Skylight Builders has been the best contractor we worked with. We are already planning on working with him again for our back deck. I wish I had used him previously.

Greatest contractor experience ever. Victor and his crew are professional, hardworking, punctual, flexible, and cost competitive. Also, their work is QUALITY! After reading online reviews getting 3 bids and interviewing different builders we went with Skylight Builders. We could not have made a better decision. From the beginning Victor's architect was top notch. We gave him several idea floor plans and he drew up many options that fit our dream home to our tricky sloped corner lot. All the subcontractors after that were top notch from the excavators/concrete guys, to the framers, plumber and electrician. Victor's own crew worked 6 days a week always leaving the site clean and safely locked. A couple things to note: Victor is a builder, has good vision for ideas but you will need to design/select flooring/tile/fixtures etc. ADVICE have your stuff picked out ordered and delivered early! !You do not want to be stuck waiting for something to be delivered when they need it. We used mostly Home Depot, Amazon, and Build.com for our finishes and supplies. We found that ordering online and having things delivered saves picking things up or renting a truck from a Home Supplies store. Have a storage area to keep items you buy early (when you find sales ;) ) We loved the idea of choosing and buying all our own finishes. It lets you custom design what you want from the tile to the paint colors to the carpet and fixtures. It does require extra work but in the end you will get exactly what you want. If you want a design build Contractor that truly works for you to get things exactly how you want them at a fair cost and on time we would highly recommend Victor and Skylight Builders. He is a family man that is trustworthy and even became a favorite of our toddlers and dogs! Daniel & Nicholle C.

ON TIME, ON BUDGET, GOOD QUALITY. I didn't think all of those things were possible with a home renovation, but we had a great experience. We hired Skylight to build an addition to a 1924 historic home. The most important part of the project for us was to match the existing style and detail of the house to keep inline with the character of the original home. Victor and his team worked with us from the very beginning to make sure we were ordering the right materials. We ended up with some upgrades on windows, roofing, doors, and exterior finishes but we clarified all of these issues before we started and fit each detail into the final quote. Even with the upgrades, we got a very fair and reasonable price compared to the other four quotes I received. When contingencies came up, the crew was able to adapt and keep the project on track. They even finished early! This is our third renovation project and we were very impressed with how Skylight respected our privacy (we were living in the house). Each worker was very respectful and took care to protect the part of our house and furniture that was not being worked on. Victor was a very hands-on general contractor, who was at the job site regularly, working on many projects himself, and making sure his crew was doing what we agreed to. If we had any issues, he was there to resolve immediately. I would use Skylight again without hesitation.

This was hands down the best experience one could have when it comes to hiring a contractor to build an addition. We met Victor of Skybuilders in June 2014 and the project got underway in November 2014 (short delay due to the exhaustive building permit approval process in Arlington County). The project took approximately 14 weeks to complete (as promised) and entailed adding more living/dining area on the first floor as well as a full master bathroom/walk-in closet/nook on the second floor. In addition, we asked Victor to add a deck and construct a walkway. Total square footage added was roughly 850 sq feet. Overall, the quality of Victor and his team's work was outstanding. In addition, their level of professionalism was unmatched. Going into this project, I dreaded the prospect of having to deal with all the unknown variables inherent with building an extension and working with a contractor. I have to say that our experience was quite the opposite in that my wife and I found Victor to be very straight forward, honest, and genuine in his desire to ensure that his work exceeded our expectations. Moreover, we found Victor's prices to be very reasonable (based on our discussions with 4-5 other contractors regarding the same project) and he never once misrepresented or mislead us into having things done that were unnecessary. In general, the experience was very positive and both my wife and I found that we looked forward to returning from work each day just to see the "new creations" Victor and his team had come up with. Victor was even a good sport about solving unanticipated issues which were unrelated to the project at hand, ie. building a fence, upgrading an existing bathroom, fixing plumbing related issues that surfaced, painting my entire home, etc. In short, we found Victor and his team to be extremely trustworthy, reliable, and likable and we intend to call upon Victor in the future for other projects as they may arise.

Victor and his team did an entire house renovation for a 1942 cape cod. The project consisted of a 22x18 two story addition with a kitchen and dining room on the first level and master bedroom suite with master bath, two walk in closets, and an office on the 2nd level. In addition to the new build, Victor and his team also redid two additional bathrooms, and two bedrooms. Skylight added over 2000 square feet of hardwood floor, 450 square feet of tiling, 14 new windows, new roofing. This project was a gut to the studs with an addition that took the living space from 1000 to over 2000. They did everything from demolition to finishes in each of the rooms. They also painted the exterior of the house. The project went better than we ever could have expected. When starting our planning for this massive undertaking, we spoke with dozens of contractors. Time and time again, we were extremely disappointed after several started their bids very low and by the end of the 2nd or 3rd meeting, raised them by sometimes triple of what their original quotes were. From the beginning, Victor was honest with his pricing and stuck by what was quoted to the very end. We had three other contractors bid double of what Victor bid. Victor represents the best combination of price and quality, clearly the best general contractor that we dealt with. Victor and his team go above and beyond and are a true pleasure to work with. As for the schedule, we ran over a bit but it was due to work that we added onto the project after we started. The work that Victor and his team did is beautiful from the tiling in the bathrooms, to the hardwood floors that were installed throughout the entire house, the painting, and installation of cabinets in the kitchen. Skylight Builders does it all and does it very well. I plan on calling Victor in the future when we are ready for our 2nd renovation. One recommendation in general is to plan out all your finishes, type of tile, color and where to paint, vanities, ect. Not having your ducks in a row makes it more difficult for the contract. We upgraded the finishes in almost every room last minute, some of which were special order and definitely not standard installation. Victor was flexible and fair with pricing.

The contractor stayed on schedule and finished the project one month earlier than deadline. Responsive for problems and calls from the owner. Another positive point - his subs are very professional. Will hire him again for future work.

My project was to make an addition including basement. Started as planed and did a good job. Quality of work for $ is good. Victor is very flexible not only with work, but any addition work which you might want him to do. His Price is better than many contractor who bid my project. He regularly stop by the house and make sure things are good, and if he find anything not looking good, he fix with out owner asking. I love his work and will recommend. Final product is great and will recommend.

Platinum Builders first worked on installing solid surface coutnertops and tile in a condo kitchen. We were so pleased with Platinum's quick response and fine quality work. we have engaged them to to do a much larger renovation in a newly bought 1920's home. At this point walls and ceilings have been repaired and painted, floors have been beautifully refinished, a laundry room has been relocated from the second floor to the basement. Work has been fast, efficient and of the very highest quality. Platiimun is an excellent contractor. One can't go wrong working with Victor.
