i have been using Shaw for 10 years and they have installed all my AC. i have told them that they do a good service but overcharging. they replace a dual run start device which should cost between $150 to $250 (hardware cost $30) for $500. it is upsetting to see them taking advantage of old clients.

Phil recovered my critical files. The drive totally failed before recovering some less important files. Phil could have worked on recovering those files by replacing the heads at further expense, but I chose not do do so. I am very, very happy.

Very responsive to my initial call a week ago (Tuesday). Came out the next day to disconnect the units so they would be out of the way of landscapers who were scheduled to put in 3 new concrete pads for the A/C units onThursday. Ordered the new units Thursday and came back to begin installations on Monday. Immediately reconnected the keeper 3rd A/C unit so we had some A/C back in service that day. Also completed installation of the second A/C unit on Monday, enabling us to sleep comfortably that night. Completed the furnace installations and 3rd A/C unit installation by mid day today (Wed).  
Very thorough, meticulous, high quality work. Professional job. Left all work sites clean. I'm delighted with the result, and highly recommend them to others.

I initially posted a review for Shaw Services four years ago when they installed my new furnace and A/C units.  I've had them doing my annual maintenance ever since.  I've been very pleased with their service.  Kevin is the guy who comes twice a year for my inspections.  He's a very pleasant individual who really knows what he's talking about.  I've occasionally asked him about non-HVAC related issues around my house (like a random noise coming from my hot water heater), and he's always happy to take an extra minute to try to help diagnose the problem.  I was shocked on his last visit that he remembered the hot water heater noise from his previous visit and asked what ended up being the cause.  So he's not only happy to help, but obviously interested in learning so he can help other folks with similar problems in the future. In this regard, I feel he really goes above and beyond.
I should probably add that I've had absolutely no problems with the system since it was installed.

Kevin arrived at the promised time. He assessed  the situation and immediately worked to find the cause and solution to the problem. He completed the work and went above and beyond to provide more information and make sure that the fix worked. We would definitely use this company again. Very professional, polite and knowledgeable.

We have used Shaw Services exclusively since about 2008 when they came ON A SATURDAY to us, then a first time customer, to fix our A/C when it was 95 out.  They always respond quickly.  This service this time was mostly maintenance of our aged system, and it runs fine.  They have also done things like replace a damaged coolant line in the AC.  They are very fast when working, diagnosing the problem quickly, and we have never had to call them back.

Excellent. They were able to squeeze a service visit in within 4 hours of my call... McCrea was going to take a week (even their regular customers were facing 2+ day waits). Will definitely use them again. Great professional service from all. Price felt high for a minor fix, but what can you do in an emergency!

After  my initial call, Jeremy came out and determined that a fuse had been blown, probably as a result of changing thermostats.  He repaired and verified that furnace was again working.  Because of warm weather during the day and also my vacation, it was difficult to verify whether or not program was being followed. Upon return from vacation it became obvious that furnace would not run for more than 5 minutes when raising temperature from an over night setback.  After calling, Kevin came out about 2 hours later.  He spent about 1 1/2 hours and figured out that the flow of water from humidifier was causing an issue with a valve and shutting down the furnace.  He provided a work around and now everything seems to be working.  Both Jeremy and Kevin were professional and extremely pleasant to work with.  There was no additional charge for second call.

Replaced original A/C unit in house for a higher efficiency unit with additional capacity due to south facing windows. Our house is too hot in the summer and the humidity was causing us to use dehumidifiers throughout the house. Don stepped us through all of the options, and pointed out areas where we could save money. Installers came on schedule, installed everything (more professionally than the one that came with the house) and verified that everything worked. Even made sure we filled in our warranty cards. 1st class expereince from a first class company

It went great. Kevin came out on time as scheduled and performed an AC check.  We signed up for the year contract that included the summer AC check and a fall furnace check. Kevin spent time checking both the inside and outside unit. Will definitely use again!

Jeremy came to my house on all three occasions. On the third visit Kevin was with him. They are very professional, efficient and pleasant to have working in the house. They arrive on time and are respectful of the house and surroundings. They take the time to explain what is involved with the repair and/or replacement.  I am so impressed by these guys I can't say enough. This company provides great service at a reasonable price.  I am a customer for life now. This is the first time I have ever taken the time to review any business on Angie's list, or elsewhere, but no business has been deserving until now. 

I will tell people about their scheduling availability and prompt service.

The furnace went out on a very cold Sunday night on a holiday weekend. We immediately went to Angie's List to find a reputable repair company.  Ryan of Shaw Services called us back immediately, drove to Sterling, and replaced the igniter to get the furnace working again - all within 2+ hours.  Honestly, Ryan was AMAZING in every respect, and he saved the day!  He was kind, empathetic, professional, responsive, and is an absolutely incredible representative of Shaw Services.  We would recommend Ryan and Shaw Services without hesitation!!  We will most certainly use their services in the future.

Our heat pump had stopped producing forced warm air.  Shaw Services arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem (fan motor not working)
He did not have a replacement motor with him and so returned the next day to complete the work.
