This was a positive experience beginning with my first contact with Bridget. She came to our house and gave us an estimate for preparing the soil and laying the sod. While other companies tried to convince us to also sod our side yard, Bridget advised us not to waste our money since the side yard is too shaded and sod would not grow well. Instead, she suggested we turn that area into a shade garden. She also drew a diagram showing the sodded area and the shade garden, which was something that no one else had done. We found Bridget to be professional and very responsive. I had additional questions about where Rivas gets the sod, which she quickly answered. Bridget set the date for the sodding to fit our schedule. Closer to the time she confirmed the date with me. The sod crew arrived about 7:30 am and were very conscientious in preparing the ground and laying the sod. The sod was of high quality--very thick and green. When I compare Rivas with the two other companies that gave us estimates: Rivas' price was the most reasonable; they completed the job before the weather got too hot (the other companies were booked up several months ahead); Bridget was the only one who looked at the whole yard and offered additional suggestions. I plan to call Rivas again when I do the shade garden.

Bridget Rivas came in the fall to look at our property. We discussed laying sod in the front as best solution to solve the poor quality of the turf in front and sides--excessive tree roots, mud, and pervasive moss. We decided to wait to do the work until spring, so contacted her again in March and within a reasonable amount of time, Bridget responded with a written estimate for the work and fully explained the process. We were scheduled, and then they contacted us a few days later to say that they would come a day earlier to take advantage of better weather forecast.
The crew arrived right on time, and worked very efficiently the first day. They tore out all the old turf, weeds, etc. They brought in many loads of quality top soil to recontour the yards, particularly building up the grade around the tree where a lot of erosion had taken place over the years. They completed this first phase of the work by 4-5 pm.
The next day, they arrived a little later in the morning as they spent the morning getting freshly cut sod. They got straight to work and communicated well with me the whole time. Explained the pattern for how to lay the sod for a good appearance once it settled in. Mr. Rivas came during the course of this day and checked in with me to ensure all was to our satisfaction. They did a nice job delineating out the garden beds and making nice cuts in the sod to fit the contour.
The crew left good instructions for the care of the sod and Bridget followed up with an email to detail how much to water, etc.
It's been 3 weeks and the turf looks awesome. Courteous and hard working crew. Their price was on par with a quote we received from Weilers for a different property a few years ago. We felt they did a great job and would recommend them to anyone seeking landscaping work.

Bridget was really nice and professional. We actually did estimates on several things but I wanted to complete this project first. Bridget was able to work with my timeline to complete while neighbors were away to lessen disturbance to them. Crew of 5 arrived and cleared edge of creek area and bottom, added lining, and stacked riprap. Rocks seem very secure. They also moved 2 azalea bushes back about a foot that were near the edge and erosion had exposed the roots. This was not in the contract but they just included it, and it is probably a good thing for them to be much more secure.

Work progress was steady, damage to the yard to haul in the rocks was minimized. After a day all the grass had sprung back up and you couldn't tell they had been there. Everything was nicely cleaned up when they were done. The crew foreman did a good job - kept the work steady but also allowed some breaks. Overall, everything well done.

Very responsive to customer desires. Entertained and responded to changes in the design prior to, and during the work phase with new estimates, and varying material types to chose from. Kept me informed of work progress when I wasn't able to be on the job site, and was punctual in meeting all deadlines for other services waiting to be performed.

Bridget Rivas not only corrected the problem but figured out what was causing the problem...water from a downspout that was 20 feet away from the patio was channeling in under the stairs. She ran a hose out into the lawn to carry the water away. Then reset the pavers. I also had her lay a paver walkway from the patio around the side of the house to the driveway. The patio had a difficult shell design and she was able to continue the pattern all the way along the walk and match the pavers used in the patio.

Mrs. Rivas was highly recommended for her knowledge and creativity. I contacted her and she responded immediately and we arranged a meeting. She was prompt, professional and listened to my ideas for my outdoor space. We walked the yard, she made recommendations and said she would prepare some drawings and estimates for my review. The estimate and project scope was provided within days and, as I was leaving for vacation, I asked that she complete everything while I was away with little or no input from me. I returned to a beautiful, well designed, fairly-priced landscape.
