Excellent job

I was struck by both the quality of the wrought iron work. So was the chief mason on the stonework for the steps who is now recommending Rick on his stone jobs where a wrought iron man is requested. My neighbor/contractor originally recommended Rick and has been passing the word for a decade, without ever having met Rick. Rick's Iron Works is less expensive than the competition at no compromise to quality.

The grate did not fit the opening well at all -- it was not measured to cover the entire "length" of the opening, and left major gaps along the arc of the opening, nearly 2" gaps. Not very attractive, and appears shoddy. After the fact, Rick was very gracious in explaining that the grate wasn't going to fit exactly and that custom cutting of the grate would have increased the price significantly. But we needed to know that before the job was done, not after. As it turned out, we now have an eyesore of a problem (as we try to sell our home) in a very large, expensive custom stone patio that we didn't foresee. We got a small custom powder-coated rail that is solid and looks good.  Rick was responsive and timely. Regrets for this delay in my report. Thanks for your work!

Materials and workmanship were excellent and the work was performed in the timeframe promised. The railings have been in place now for 3 years and still look new.

. The installation went smoothly and professionally. It was installed in one and and they came out a few days alter to paint it. Very happy with the balcony and would use this company again.

Even though this was a very small job for this company, they treated me professionally and courteously.  The drawer handle was repaired by them and has been in use for almost a year without any problems.

They did a great job.  The work they did turned out looking great.  They did it when they said they would.  The staff presented themselves very good.

I will never use this company again. They were not good at communicating; returning phone calls or emails. They did not make the bannister that I asked for but instead changed my order to what THEY wanted but did not tell me they had done that until the job was installed. I was unhappy and so were my clients. The company also attached the handrail OVER an iron artwork piece which permanently secured the artwork to the wall. Ridiculous and poorly installed marking up the artwork. The company had to come back out and redo the install job. I had to ask them to reduce my bill due to not getting what I had originally asked for. Very bad customer service and the work was nothing special AFTER they corrected their mistakes. Use at your own risk!

They came out and discussed it with me. They nailed it, it was perfect. After a tree destroyed it they had all of the information in their system and were able to recreate it.
I interviewed at least two other companies and they wouldn't allow me to use my own design.

After arriving exactly when they said they would for the estimate, Rick's Iron Works was able to get the job done on time and with a price we found to be fair and even on the low end of other estimates we received. The quality of the job was excellent, they even removed the existing medal that was embedded in the concrete. A very professional and positive experience.

Getting call backs and and an estimate was like pulling teeth. Instead of coming to the site, he asked me to send him a picture, off of which he provided (eventually) an estimate. However, in the end, once it came down to doing the work, they were professional,
efficient, and did a very nice job. I would utilize them again.

They came and did a measurement. They fabricated the iron railing in a short amount of time. They were able to do a really good job for us in not a long amount of time. We were very satisfied with the price. We would use them again.

The company had a backlog of work and it seemed like it took forever for them to get around to performing the job. But once they did, the work itself was outstanding. They went beyond what I asked for and painted the ornamentation once it was installed. The difference was visual and remarkable.

It went extremely well. They carefully measured and customized the ironwork to suit my specifications and stairs. They came out several times to measure and actually test fit before powdercoating and installing.
