Really outstanding work from Premium Drainage. The project was a 30’ 2-tier retaining wall with planter space between the 2-tiers. Premium was extremely helpful in working through our ARB process and getting approval with the homeowner’s association as the wall bordered common area. As the old retaining wall was replaced, Premium took all kinds of extra steps to restore my border fence, gravel footpaths, replanted perennials and left the surrounding area looking better than when they started. And most important, the wall looks great and gets all kinds of complements. This is my second major project with Premium and would recommend this expert group to anyone looking for new pathways, patios or retaining walls.

Thank you for giving me my backyard back from a post storm swamp to a nicely sodded yard. I’ve worked with “several dozen” contractors as a landlord during the past 30 years and I can count on “one hand” those contractors who have clearly stood out for their quality work, honesty and professionalism. Even my tenants commented on the quality and meticulous job that was completed in the backyard. I received 5 different quotes for this job. Two contractors did not bid on this project due to the large size and scope of the project. Another very popular drainage/landscaping company in Prince William County submitted a very low price for the job but their verbal description of the work to be done and their unlimited, “to-good-to-be true” warranty was not reflected in the contract. The price provided by Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions was competitive and the scope of work was very detailed. This project was somewhat large in scope and involved 25 yards of top soil to be added to the backyard. I’m grateful for the company’s honesty to bring in the full amount. I’ve dealt with some contractors that would bring in less but charge the full amount. Although the contract required placing grass seed and straw in the backyard they placed sod throughout the backyard at no additional charge. The backyard looks beautiful. I strongly recommend that you include this locally owned business when getting price quotes for your drainage/erosion projects.

I am so happy we chose Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions for our new drains, hardscape and bridge. Adrian was professional and friendly from the start. I never felt pressured, and he helped us to choose the perfect stones for our patio. He went out of his way to make sure we were completely happy with all elements of our projects. I received responses to emails same day, often within 15mins. The staff who worked on our home were also courteous and professional, and they even managed to finish ahead of schedule. They offered to fix and add little extra things along the way, and did not charge us extra. One of the guys even got up during his lunch break and helped me search for my lost chicken. I have hired Adrian's company based on a referal from one of our neighbours. While I was quoted before for the drainage system, the quote from Premium Drainage was extremely detailed and broken down by phases. While the total amount was more than orginally budgeted for, we worked with them to get more favorable terms. We managed to accomplish all phases which included 55ft linear french drain, building a drywell to include a sump pump and 4-50gal. barrells, burrying two of the main downsputs, and connect them underground to the drainage system, completely tearing apart the front path, regrade, and replace pavers. Additionally, the final phase was including fixing erossion issues in the backyard, regrading, and building a winding path. Our family is finally happy we no longer have standing water and a mudpit. I'll recommend Adrian's company to anyone looking for professional drainage and hardscaping. In one sentence, they totally exceeded my expectations.

From start to finish, working with Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions was the absolute best experience I've had with any home project! I met with Adrian, the owner, and he listened to all of my concerns, answered all questions, was so friendly and honest in doing so, and came up with a plan that made the most sense to me compared to other quotes I received. Communication about every aspect of the job - finalizing a plan, scheduling start dates, etc. - was very responsive and clear. As for the work that was done, the Premium D&E crew was absolutely professional, clean and detail-oriented! They went above and beyond what I imagined or thought was possible. They didn't just add the features that were discussed, they totally transformed the space. These guys worked so hard, and you can tell they really love and take pride in what they do. I generally don't take time to write reviews like this unless I am really impressed with the company and the quality of their work. Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions definitely impressed me - they are probably the best contractor I have worked with. The owner, Adrian, is extremely professional and goes above and beyond to ensure that his customer is happy with the work. I don't think I have one single complaint with the work they did, which consisted of three projects: 1. Removal of a concrete patio and installation of a large Techo Bloc paver patio 2. A custom built pergola with privacy wall, hand railings, and gate 3. French drain that ran through the back of the yard that was connected to the downspouts from the house which ran under the patio I received a few quotes for this project. The owner, Adrian, impressed me from day one - the quote was competitive, but what really set it apart from the other companies was the level of detail provided for the project. The quote included a detailed explanation of what would be done and with what materials - the other companies provided much more vague descriptions. Adrian took the time to walk through the property to explain the work that would be performed. When I had follow-up questions, he made another in-person visit to walk through things again. Responses to email communications were very prompt. When Adrian is busy onsite or meeting other clients, Marissa consistency monitored emails and made sure Adrian got back to me to address any questions I had. Before the work started, Adrian made another visit to confirm the details of the project before commencing work. Once the work started, the crew was very careful not to damage the lawn with - as much as you could be with all of the work being performed and the heavy equipment required. Jose, the crew chief, and his team were very careful with removal of the concrete patio and did a lot of prep work and going over the ground multiple times with a soil compactor to ensure it was level and firm prior to installation of the pavers. The drains for the downspouts were also run underneath the ground and connected to our french drain (something the company that built our concrete patio did not do). The Techo Bloc pavers are a bit more expensive, but they look amazing and are definitely worth the price. The area we live in is pretty windy, so we needed a pergola that was well anchored. The pergola was custom built 13 x 15 and almost 10 feet tall, with posts anchored 2 feet into the ground with concrete. A few smaller posts were also added for the privacy wall, hand railing, and gate. The ground in our backyard slopes a bit, so they needed to make sure everything was designed so that is was completely level. During the project, we decided to make a couple of changes to what we wanted - Jose and his team were able to adjust on the fly with no issues. When digging the drain, the crew was very careful not to damage the lawn - many areas that were dug up would be replaced with the sod. When the drain was completed, it's almost impossible to tell that the yard was dug up at all. In areas where the lawn was too damaged to recover, it was replaced with new sod as part of the project. The same was done around the patio as there was no way the lawn would recover in those areas due to the extent of the work being performed. Throughout the project, Adrian would consistently stop by the check and progress and see if I had any questions or concerns. At the end of the project, he did a couple of walkthroughs to confirm the quality of the work and that there were no issues that needed to be addressed. Adrian identified a few very minor issues that I didn't even notice and sent his crew out again to fix them. This really demonstrated to me that customer satisfaction was more important to him that his bottom line. If I have any additional projects in the future that they specialize in, Premium Drainage and Erosion Solutions will definitely be my first choice.

Our wooden retaining wall was heavily leaning and rotting. After speaking to Adrian, we discovered the cause were downspouts under the deck that had disconnected. We also had a previous contractor install a driveway a few years back over corrugated pipe which of course had crushed and was breaking apart the driveway from underneath. PDES tied four downspouts together under ground and the driveway to route all the water away from our home and to a dry well a good distance from our house. They also routed an existing french drain, another downspout and our sump pump to either the dry well or a pop-up emitter. We had received several quotes for the work and found PDES in line with the others. I wanted to wait a few months before writing a review to experience several storms and to verify the grass along the driveway was no longer sopping wet for weeks. I am happy to report our water issues have finally been resolved. Also, the new stone retaining wall looks great, in fact we plan on adding a matching one on the other side of our house.

It was an excellent experience with Premium Drainage from start to finish. After receiving a few quotes/ideas to manage flowing and pooling water in our backyard, it was obvious to us that Premium Drainage offered the best solution. During the time before the work started (they were scheduling about 6 months out when we booked), we contacted Premium Drainage about additional work we wanted to include in the project. They were very helpful and communicative with this and we were able to do all of the work at the same time! Adrian and his team were very professional, punctual, organized, and responsive. Rene and the crew that completed our project were fantastic! They disturbed as little of the yard as possible (which is impressive considering they needed to dig across the entire thing!), laid topsoil and planted grass seed after completion. Everything is working exactly as Adrian said it would. We are very pleased with the outcome and have already recommended Premium Drainage to friends and family!

I wanted to wait until we had enough rain/snow to test out the french drain that Premium Drainage put in our back yard. Well......the difference was night and day. Sure it's still a little wet (we had 10 inches of snow followed by rain and we have clay soil), but we don't have to wear rain boots to walk in our back yard now!! They were very easy to work with from the first estimate until the job was complete. And the people who installed them were WONDERFUL! They cleaned up our yard as they worked, and you would NEVER know that there are 6 drains in the yard. They clearly knew what they were doing! Plus, the office staff was responsive and friendly. In addition, they put in a lovely stone landing below the steps from our deck. It was fan shaped and a bit of a challenge. The results were marvelous! Wish I had the need for some more stone work in our yard!!

I would recommend Premium Drainage. They communicated well throughout the process. Adrian came out twice to provide estimates and discuss solutions. When time to do the service, they kept to schedule and were prompt and courteous. Adrian and his crew worked hard and were careful to make minimum damage to yard, especially considering over 150 feet of drain and pipe were installed. The only reason I did not give 5 Stars is because we have yet to see if the installment will fix the problem with storms drainage and yard flooding.
