When you call or email Patriot Painting you will talk to the owner. It will not be a call center trained to weed out unprofitable customers. We know they are out there, as well as companies who only will do larger jobs such as whole houses. Simply put, we believe that we are here to serve the public. Yes we want to make a profit but not at all costs. There are companies who will not bid on a job if a customer is selling their house, because these companies don't believe they will profit enough. At Patriot Painting we will do any job large or small. We put our customers first, our employees next, and lastly our shareholders. By doing so we do just fine financially and we honestly believe that we are doing the right thing for everyone. So call Patriot Painting and you will never be turned away because you are not perceived as a "profitable customer". We value all customers who can use our services.

Patriot Painting did such an outstanding job from start to finish. Owner Scott Runkle contacted me almost immediately to bid on my relatively small job after I posted it, and his bid was very fair with a new customer 20 percent discount. He quickly worked to fit my job in his schedule, and was very accessible by text. Angel performed the drywall repairs and painting, and he did an absolutely phenomenal job, arriving on time to get an early start both days he was here and barely taking a break. He worked diligently to get the job done in such a perfect manner that I can't even tell where the water leak was in my ceiling. His attention to detail in prepping the basement ceiling for painting was also top notch, as was his clean up of the work areas upon project completion. Scott followed up to see if I was pleased with the work, and only requested payment after the work was complete--no deposit upfront. I can't say enough about this company, and it's no surprise that Patriot Painting's outstanding work has kept them in business since 1991. One of the best contractors I've ever worked with here in Woodbridge, Va. Most definitely will hire again.

I thought I was going to have to replace a number of boards and have major carpentry work performed, as well as painting/resurfacing done to my deck. Scott was able to paint the boards so that cracks were filled in without a lot of carpentry. The finished product looks great and the price I paid was thousands less than what I was quoted by several other contractors. On top of that, the work was done promptly and on time. Overall, a quality job performed at a more than reasonable price. Mine is the third deck he has done in the immediate neighborhood due to the fact that he is being referred from one neighbor to another.

Powerwashed, caulked, scraped and sanded all surfaces, then painted exterior wood trim with premium paint, including soffits, trim, shutters,doors, windows, and gutters. Spot primed bare wood and repaired and painted rotted wood trim. The crew was totally professional, courteous, and given intermittent rain days, waited to ensure surfaces were ready for painting given weather and temperature swings. Further, the lawn and shrubbery areas were immaculate when they finished. The estimate was accurate accurate for painting, even with the delays, and the only variable was the carpentry that was certainly reasonable for this area. I highly recommend Patriot Painting. Scott was in constant communication either in person or by email and it was a pleasure working with him.

I could not be more pleased with the responsiveness and quality of the job. I called Patriot Painting (and several other painting companies) on a Tuesday to discuss getting an estimate for having my new deck stained and sealed. I spoke with Scott who came out the same day to look at the job. By Wednesday I had an estimate. By Friday the job was completed and it looked fantastic. This kind of positive experience with home improvement companies is rare. I will be calling on Scott and Patriot Painting again for future painting and deck staining. I highly recommend his company.

Went fine. Scott was able to fit the work into our closing/move-in schedule, though it took a bit of prompting to get clear communications ahead of time. The work was done well, and the place was left clean and in good order. Because of our tight schedule, we had litttle leverage on price, but we did negotiate down some from original estimate.

It was the absolute best big painting job I have ever been involved in and it was perfect from start to finish. After receiving multiple bids and descriptions of services offered Patriot Painting was by far the best and the results are top quality. From the owner to the two man crew they were all very professional. This was a two week job and they were on time everyday and cleaned up each day. I highly recommend them for large or small jobs!

Everything was wonderful. They did a great job in a timely manner, with the cold weather coming. They even washed and painted a couple of wooden patio chairs that were outside. The paint they used was top quality. I could see the difference from the last time it was painted. Top quality paint! We very happy with the job!

I really can't say enough positive about Scott and his crew. His estimate was reasonable and offered us options, he was able to fit us in on his service calendar very quickly, and the work was done fast and with great care. The interior paint work was really exceptional, with a great amount of attention paid to detail, including clean up. The deck looks fantastic. Someone came out and thoroughly cleaned the deck prior to staining. The stain/sealant was applied perfectly. The owner, Scott, came out a couple times to check on the progress and to ensure that we were completely satisfied before he took our payment. This is a great company to do business with. We will use them again.

It went well. Workmen were on time and conscientious about their work and keeping me informed of progress as they went. They largely did a good job of post work cleanup. We had four estimates and three of them were in same general range, with only one significantly higher. One of the bigger issues was brand of paint question. Two of contractors had specified "national" brands of paint and two had indicated a regional brand of paint (McCormick) which had fewer reviews to check. Ultimately, we went with McCormick's satin finish State exterior paint, which was slightly less expensive than the "national" brands (there were no negative reviews at least!) and three of the prospective painters agreed it was a good paint. In the end a lot of our choice came down to affability of owner/manager Scott Runkle who came out to give an estimate and discuss work leading to contract, although at least one of the other contractors near to us and from Angie's List was a close second. So far, so good!

Patriot Painting did an outstanding job. Scott was responsive with the estimate and he and Jose appeared as scheduled for both an interior job involving our vaulted-ceiling family room and our deck. Although there was some weather involved, Jose worked between the problems and did some repairs to our deck, powerwashed and stained the deck. The interior family rooms looks wonderful and his attention to detail was evident both inside and out.

The crew members were very diligent in their work. They spent two days scraping rust, priming and painting the wrought iron railings on our wrap-around porch. They also were meticulous in performing the carpentry and painting work on 2 of my door frames that had wood rot damage. I was impressed on how conscientious Scott, the owner, and his screw were. On the first day after they replaced our shutters, we noticed that cement nails were popping out of other shutters that were not being replaced. When I called Scott that night requesting that these nails be replaced with the same type of stainless steel anchors used on the new shutters, he replied that he and his crew already noticed the problem and were planning on fixing the matter the next day. At the completion of the job on a Friday afternoon, the crew asked us to inspect the work before they left, and on Monday after the weekend Scott stopped by my house to make sure we were satisfied with the work before he asked for the payment. Note: Scott did not require us to make a deposit before the job started or installments during the time the work was being performed.
