Ted came out to draw the shed plans and provide custom options to us. We live in an HOA neighborhood so we had to submit the plans for approval. Once we received the approval, we paid a down payment and scheduled the install date for our shed. The shed was installed on the scheduled date. The workers arrived on-time and completed our shed on the same day. The guys were great and cleaned up after they completed the job. Ted came out to complete the painting of our doors, shutters and flower box. We love our custom shed and are so happy we used this company (we added the trellis around the base, but OHC would do that too, if requested)! We have had several neighbors inquiring and have definitely recommend this company to them!

Excellent; a few missed communications. However, Colin resolved all issues and once we regained contact, the company and employees performed professionally and excellent results.

Excellent work! They arrived before 6:30AM on the scheduled day, worked efficiently, and the shed (10' x 12') was done that day, even painted to match my house. The workers (there were 4-5 of them) were timely, polite, and professional. They cleaned up well too. Shed quality is excellent. I paid a bit more for longer-lasting materials, and got a couple of options-all of which were discussed with Ted, and added to the estimate. I am very happy with the shed so far. One thing to note-Ted called a few days later to check in, and said that they noticed because of my new home's grading, some settling may occur with the shed-if this happens, he said to call, and they'd re-level it for free. This is just one example of their superior customer care. I am very happy with the shed, and Ted-feel free to have any prospective customers call me if they'd like a reference.

Punctual and diligent. Great team effort. Organized all needed materials. Arrived earlier than scheduled. Completed the construction of the shed in the least quantity of time (unbelievable is the word to describe the pace of work). The quality appears to be excellent. I recommend this company and their magnificent colleagues. I had one question about the flooring that went unanswered. The only occasion that I did not receive a returned call. However, I was able to obtain the needed response through other sources. Very good company with professional employees.

We went to the "show area" located in Manassas. It was a little confusing because there are two different companies back-to-back. The other company was closed, so we traveled back up the hill to Outdoor Home Center. They answered our questions and were not hoovering over us ready to make a sale. After deciding to go with Outdoor Home Center, they came out to our home and discussed prices and options. There were a lot of options available, so we were able to customize our shed. Because of our hilly backyard, we needed framework done. This was explained early so there were no cost surprises. The only misunderstanding was another person (whom works with them, but another company) that actually did the framework. We felt uncomfortable just writing him a check, so we contacted the Outdoor Home Center. They quickly responded saying he does their framework for all of their clients. We requested an estimate,which he provided within a day and e-mailed the document for our files. They gave us a date for building the shed, that was changed once, but we received a call to confirm the change. In fact, the shed was built earlier than anticipated. They told us they would be there by 6:30am and start work by 7:00am. They were exactly on time and ready to work. The shed came semi-constructed. They just had to assemble the sides, floor and roof. The workers were kind, fast and reliable. I think it took less than three hours to complete. We watched them from our deck, and it was like watching a puzzle being put together. The shed is exactly what we expected. We hope to enjoy the extra storage for years to come.

-Colin was very responsive.
-He came to our property and spent about an hour talking about what we wanted, the colors that would match our house to comply with the Homeowners Association rules, the features that would work for us and what would be allowed by the county (he was the only provider who paid attention to the allowed placement of the shed which narrowed down the potential area and clarified things tremendously).
- They do not request the permit for you but several other providers said the same thing and I found that the shed permitting process in Montgomery County, MD is not that bad if you do your homework.
- He was patient when we called to ask questions.
- Their pricing compared to other providers was competitive and in some cases much better!
- He set an expectation of a 4 week wait time but it was only 2 weeks which was great.
During:
-Ted came with the crew ( a couple of Amish gentlemen and two others) to supervise and make sure things went smoothly.
- In less than 3 hours they had built the shed.
- They anchored the shed for us (whereas a number of other providers told us that we would have to do that ourselves).
After:
- So far we are very pleased with the quality of the shed.

 Colin was outstanding with his customer service.  He came out to personally survey my property, helped my wife and I choose the proper sized shed and worked with us to ensure that the final product met our HOA requirements. 

Minor delay in delivery time due to weather, nothing too serious.  Shed looks great,  I am very pleased.

A real pleasure to deal with this company.  The estimator (Colin) was prompt, professional, and personable.  The work began on time and was done in very short order.  The shed was constructed on site using real wood and architectural shingles and roof ventilation.  They even installed pilings ahead of time to allow us to make the shed longer than we could have if we had avoided the steep slope area in our back yard.  We love the shed, and it is beautiful. Seems very sturdy.  Such a change from the eyesore we had before!

Outdoor Home Center makes a really great product (no particle board anywhere to be seen!). I like how you can choose a TECHSHIELD coated wood. Their team of builders come down from Pennsylvania to install your somewhat constructed pieces of shed which took 3 hours (these guys work their buns off the entire time they are here...not one break that I could see). The quality is really nice and although we had a few touch up paint spots not blend in the first time owner Colin came out himself within days to paint the entire wall to make sure it was all one color. I like how these guys aren't pushy at all when it came to showing their sheds and I also appreciate their many years of experience.
I also want to mention how amazing our shed demo went...their demo guy was on time and was extremely professional. He took every piece of the shed and swept up any crumbs left behind in the driveway. I asked the owners if we could call him if we ever needed a hauler in the future because he was really amazing.
Overall I highly recommend Outdoor Home Center. They stand behind their product and want you to be happy.

The shed was assembled in my back yard and they returned days later to touch up paint

Both the sales visit and the installation was conducted professionally.  In both cases the company arrived on time and were efficient.  When choosing I was given a number of options which were presented clearly along with their cost.  The shed arrived in parts which were carried around the back and assembled.  The work took only 3 hours, the site was left clean and tidy and the result was exactly what I ordered.

I requested an estimate online through their website, and promptly received a response from Ted.  He gave me a generic quote via email, and offered to come by with paint and shingle examples.  Since my needs included a custom option, he walked me through the pricing options that fit my space and needs.
Even though it was the height of their building season, even rough storms didn't delay Ted and his team from meeting his scheduled installation date.  They arrived on time, performed the work efficiently, and even upgraded the interior of my shed with a new product to help keep it cooler in the summer (They mentioned it was a time sensitive upgrade, and in 2013 it will cost a little extra).
Overall the quality of work, responsiveness of the ownership, and competitive price won me over.  If I need another product that Outdoor Home Center can provide they will be the first one's I call.

I was happy with the process. The shed was delivered exactly as specified, the delivery date was as planned, and the installation crew was polite and efficient, to include a thorough clean-up. The ordering process was not stressful and the required downpayment was fair at approx. 15%. On installation day they could not not finish exterior painting due to inclement weather so they did not ask for the balance of payment (85%) until they arrived a few days later to complete the painting. 

This project went fantastic from start to finish.  I first exchanged some emails with Ted from the Outdoor Home Center, then talked with him on the phone.  We scheduled a time for him to come see the shed site and visit about our interests.  Ted came right on time.  He brought samples and went over all the options, etc and did not pressure me at all.  He was patient while I made up my mind about which size shed to go with.  He scheduled us for 5 weeks out, which was the week between Christmas and New Year, but said if they could fit me in sooner they would.  He said either he or his partner Alan would be here the day of construction.  True to his word, he called sooner and scheduled us to have our shed built onsite on 12/20/12 and said that Alan would be coming.  (Originally Ted said they were going to come on Monday, but when rain was predicted he called in advance and re-scheduled again, checking with me to be sure it was ok.)  The day of construction they came right on time and immediately set about to their work.  Alan came to the door to introduce himself and ask me to move our car, and that was all he needed from me.  I didn't speak to him again after that.  They arrived about 11:30 am and left by 3:00.  It was amazing to see the shed constructed so quickly.  It was clear each member of their team knew their role and knew exactly what they were doing.  The quality of the workmanship was excellent, too.  When they were done, they met briefly with my husband and left.  The yard was clean and absolutely no damage was done to our fences or the yard or anything.  I would buy another shed from them in a heartbeat.  In fact, I was so impressed, I found myself wondering whether these gentlemen ever construct homes!  I highly recommend the Outdoor Home Center for your backyard shed needs.

The customer service provided by Outdoor Home Center was exceptional. Colin came to our home to provide the estimate.  He arrived on time, offered suggestions and provided an estimate for the construction of the shed.  Even though the estimate was higher than I hoped for, when I considered that the estimate included a high quality wooden shed built to our specifications, delivery, and installation, we decided the go with Outdoor Home Center.  Colin kept in touch to let us knowoff the progress as the shed was being built.  When rain interfered with the installation of the shed, Colin let us know before the scheduled day that we would have to reschedule for the next week.  On the day of installation the team arrived on time and Colin supervised as the team assembled the shed in about 1 hour.  They were very professional and removed all of the construction debris.  They were careful not to damage our plants and worked as a team to make sure that all of the work was completed without sacrificing quality.   I am very pleased with the service provided and the quality of the shed.  I would highly recommend them for quality made shed which are made to order.

Build was delayed for a week due to an illness in the building supervisor's family.

Excellent product as well as service. The sheds are made in PA by an Amish family to your specifications. They are a little expensive compared to home improvement stores in the area, however, quality is far superior. Also we needed the shed to be built on site. It was delivered as a kit the day before and assembled on our property. From start to finish two hours to assemble a 10x15 shed. Excellent product, work ethic and clean up.

An excellent experience. Our contact was Colin who was very helpful in helping us select our options. On the agreed upon date, the Amish crew and Colin came to assemble the shed. They worked non-stop for three hours to build the shed. It is adorable and has been a wonderful addition to our property.

Overall, it's been an outstanding experience and the price is 2,000 dollars cheaper then the one online. They responded quickly to my phone calls and gave me advice on how to prepare the spot, warranty is for 2 years.
