OHI exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Their design team was incredibly attentive, carefully listening to our vision and providing innovative solutions that surpassed our initial ideas. The construction crew was equally impressive, demonstrating professionalism, skill, and a genuine respect for our home. They were always punctual, meticulous about cleanliness, and a pleasure to work with. OHI's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident in every aspect of their work. Initially, we were satisfied with the work done by Whitney, Scott, and Al during our renovation. However, our experience with OHI regarding subsequent issues has been consistently disappointing. Eg, despite acknowledging concerns about our walkwayâ which is crooked and visually disorientingâ they have continuously postponed resolving the issue until we stopped asking altogether. Furthermore, problems arose within months of installation of our new wood floor. The boards began to warp (cup) because the wood was not properly acclimatized before installation. OHI lied about how long the wood had been in our house prior to installation and instead wrongly accused us of using water to clean the floor. We provided written evidence of the timeline of wood delivery and installation, but they persisted in their lies. After engaging outside experts and exchanging numerous emails, they eventually returned to re-sand and re-stain the floor, but the job was sloppy, leaving stain splatters on baseboards and stainless steel appliances. Furthermore, we discovered numerous hairs laminated into the floor. Our concerns about these issues, along with their botched attempt at spot sanding and staining, which resulted in a large discolored area, have been ignored, again in the hope that we would give up seeking a resolution. OHI ghosted us.

Whitney, Scott and their work teams were exceptional. Whitney guided me in the design process and Scott was the answer-guy to pre-installation planning. The work teams were punctual, considerate, professional, pleasant and clean up after every day. We are thrilled with our new bathroom and are already making plans for using Ohi on future remodeling jobs!

What a difference! New kitchen looks AWESOME. Let's be honest, the Internet is packed with kitchen remodeling nightmares. And researching local vendors was giving us concern, until we met with Whitney and Scott from OHI Design. Up front and honest. Scott kept the structure sound, giving me quality feedback surrounding my ideas and Whitney provided solid design and creative solutions. Great ideas and great collaboration. On project start to conclusion, the installer was on-site on-time every time! Whitney stayed connected with us talking through minor changes, etc. Great communication with PM Herb. Definitely hire again.

Kitchen Remodel
My wife and I just had our circa 1978 townhome kitchen remodeled and updated to 2020 from OHI Design in Manassas Park, VA and we could not love it more! From the first day we walked in their showroom, to the finished product, it has been a complete pleasure working with Scott and Whitney. They were very easy to talk to, work with, and are extremely knowledgeable about their products and the whole remodeling process, which made the whole experience a dream and all we had to do was pick the finishes and they did the rest! They were especially responsive during the whole process via email and phone calls. Plus, their crew was top-notch, very courteous, and professional also. We highly recommend them if you are interested in remodeling, or just some flooring, paint, or home construction needs. They do it ALL! Could not have asked for better people to work with. My wife and I are SUPER HAPPY with the end result.

Kitchen Remodel
A long awaited kitchen remodel in the midst of a pandemic. What could go wrong? Nothing! We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We met Whitney from OHI at the Dulles Expo Home Show last winter. Along with about 9 other contractors and design companies, we interviewed them and had them come out to give us an estimate. Whitney and Scott listened closely to what we hoped to accomplish and came back with a wonderful design which didn't involve tearing down a wall, nor taking space out of our garage in which to give me a much needed craft room in addition to the new kitchen. Taking our seldom used formal dining room, they have made it over into a unique craft area/home office/"overflow" dining area. When restrictions lifted in May, the OHI crew was able to start work in a very safe, socially distanced manner. I can't say enough about the wonderful work crew who became part of our family for 7 weeks (they totally met all deadlines). This was definitely not the kitchen nightmare so many warned us about. We are so pleased, OHI will be our go to design company for all our future remodeling plans.

Kitchen Remodel
OHI renovated our old kitchen to a beautiful living space. We wanted a lighter, brighter kitchen. They removed a wall and put in new LED lighting. They did plumbing, electrical, painting, cabinets, flooring, countertops and backsplash. They built a lovely china closet as a built in accent. We love our new kitchen and it makes the whole downstairs seems lighter and brighter. Because of the corona virus, we only had one worker here at a time. The gentleman who did the majority of the work was meticulous, pleasant and a very hard worker. He was very aware of social distancing. We were able to "stay home" the whole time, and able to use the other rooms. Can't say enough good things.....we would give this company an A++!!

OHI completed a full kitchen remodel in our home. They were responsive to our needs and easy to communicate with. Our project was completed within the estimated time at a lower cost than other estimates we had received. OHI demonstrated excellent attention to detail. Bathroom Remodel
We interviewed a few different companies before deciding to go with OHI Design for our master bath remodel. They took out the outdated built in tub and replaced it with a free standing. We also got a larger shower and a new vanity and floor. We could not be happier with how the project turned out. Our designers were a husband and wife team Whitney and Scott and they helped us the entire process to decide exactly what materials we wanted. The installer team was top notch and were also easy to work with and clean. We love our new bathroom and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great communication and work. We are excited to get our other bathrooms done in the future.

They started out slow, then hurried to finish before the pandemic restrictions. They put scratches on the floor tile, chipped tile in the shower after installation, installed medicine cabinet crooked, installed sink stopper in basin crooked, and did not give me any brochures from products they purchased or those I purchased (mirror, shower faucet, shower door, medicine cabinet, toilet, etc). Two weeks after installation, the shower floor stopped draining. I had only washed my hair 2-3 times, with a tub drain cover over the drain to catch my hair. Luckily, it opened up with a plunger. I am overall displeased with the quality of their work. I paid top dollar for a bargain-basement quality of work.

Kitchen Remodel
We signed with OHI Design last night after months of carefully looking for the right company to do our kitchen remodel. We were just about to go with another contractor and OHI was the last one we brought in. We were blown away and it was clear they were the right fit for us. It was one of those when you know you know situations. If you re looking for a company who s mission is to grow their brand the old fashioned way (Delivering a quality experience and product with lifelong experts passionate about their craft) this is your company. I can t wait to write another glowing review upon project completion. Bottom line. If you are doing a kitchen/bath remodel; give them an opportunity. You will see what I m talking about.

It went as well as I could have expected. OHI came to my house the day after I contacted them and reviewed my project. I had an estimate the next day for much lower than a previous one. The work was completed ahead of scheduled, and I am quite pleased with the result. Throughout the project, communication was top notch as were any responses to my concerns. I have had 4-6 renovations or additions done on my house in the past. This was by far my best experience.

I happily recommend OHI to anyone who wants to do a professional quality bathroom remodel. The service they provided, beginning with the initial contact, was excellent and the cost was in line with the excellence of the work and the personal service I received throughout the project. The project was managed flawlessly by a senior company representative, an excellent onsite team leader, and highly skilled workers. Plumbers, electricians, permits, and disposal were handled for me. There was no picking up the pieces or being nickeled and dimed. The work was done according to schedule and it met or exceeded contract requirements. I was given ample choices, and was able to design a bathroom that met all my personal, structural, functional, and aesthetic requirements. My bathroom is even more than I hoped it would be!

We worked really well with Gary and Herb and the project was done well, on-time and on budget. We had some minor complications due to the cabinets we had to order but these issues were resolved quickly and without any additional cost to us. On the whole we are very happy with our new kitchen and the work that OHI did on our project.

Poor overall project management. Long delays from contract date to work commencement. They overbook and under-deliver. If you are looking for on time on and on schedule performance, this is not the contractor. Questionable value for their service. Sub contractor were good, but spread thin between other projects. Could have done my own general contracting at half the price with higher quality of work.

"OHI of Virginia Inc strives for excellence in all we do. It is our Company's Policy once all materials are in to our warehouse to have a project done within 4-6 weeks. With this particular job, we did complete the job in the 6 week period including Thanksgiving week. The contract was signed on August 27, 2015. Sample doors and the remeasure was completed on September 14th. The Salesman's completed the preparation of job cost and materials orders in on September 16th. The materials were all ordered and received by October 23rd. The Project officially began on October 29th. Concealment Inspections were done by the County on November 12th. An additional work order was placed on November 18th. Final Inspections were scheduled and done by the County on December 3rd."

The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting everything that was needed. The plumber worked with very few breaks and did an excellent job. The "handy men" needed constant supervision from us. Things were not done in order (painted before plastering complete so had to be re-done.) Painting was sloppy, had to be re-done, floor was put in with too much glue - had to be re-done. They were not good about cleaning up. Supervisor and assistant were very delinquent about returnig phone calls. Because of all the problems, the project took weeks longer than it should have, but finally came together.

OHI remodeled two master baths and one powder room in our home. They were great to work with up front and very detailed during the quote, design and proposal phase. Work started on time as agreed. There were a few issues along the way with granite and tile that OHI handled relatively promptly. There were also some OHI scheduling conflicts during the last 10% of the project (finishing and punch list items) that caused the promised completion date to slip about 4 weeks. Overall, the work was finished within our agreed upon budget and the quality of work was very good.

Design efforts were excellent -- some of the best that I have worked with. The project ran over the expected timeline by a few weeks which was an issue at the time. I am now trying to get some follow up service on the project and find that I have to call, and re-call the service department. They should be proactive in their follow up on service because this is what people will remember.

We knew exactly what we wanted to remodel my husband's small bathroom and Paul was able to give us product recommendations that exactly suited our tastes. The work began when scheduled and Steve, the project manager, met with us first to review the space and discuss how the inside of our home would be protected during the work. Steve communicated regularly and the workmen were professional. The only problem was that, against our request, sawing of wall board took place in the garage and in spite of plastic sheeting, the garage needed extensive cleaning to remove dust that permeated every corner. We are very happy with our new bathroom.

I am very pleased with OHI's performance. Their concern for doing the job right was evident. The job site was also my home so I really appreciated how clean they kept everything even while major demolition and construction was ongoing.
