Our bathroom on the main level where the guests go needed remodeling.  We had had most of the house updated in a previous remodeling but we ran out of money and time for this bathroom so it stood out like and (old) sore thumb.  My wife and I had been talking about updating it for ages.  Then last November, just after Thanksgiving, she informed me that she was hosting the Company Christmas party at our house and that the bathroom MUST be updated....NOW!
What to do?  She wanted me to have a bathroom gutted and redone in about three weeks for concept to completion so I called Gary Nelson at "Nelson and Nelson".  I have been working with Gary Nelson for many years.  I own a small property management company and I rely on Gary to perform a variety of projects at my rental houses.  He has done major remodeling projects for me and minor fixes as well so I asked him if he could pull this off and he agreed to do it.
What I like about Gary the most is that he can do anything.  Before I found him, when I had a project, I had to call the plumber, the electrician, the drywall guys, the roofers or what not to get it all done.  Gary is good at all of that stuff so I don't have to worry about coordinating vendors or paying extra for a General Contractor.  This project was the perfect job for his skills.  He came over to the house, went over with us what we wanted and gave us a ball price.  We agreed and later on that week he started.
Gary was very patient with us throughout the process.  I work out of the house so I was present for much of the work.  I must admit that I "hovered" over him maybe a bit too much but he was patient with me throughout the process.  He was very good at communicating with me during the project and when little issues arose, like they always do in a remodel, helping us work out what to do.  Anyway long story short, Gary finished the project on time and on budget making me a hero of our home.  
If you need contracting work done, particularly remodeling related work, I highly recommend Gary.  He is highly skilled in a variety of trades, honest to a fault and really cares about his work product.  Also for things that are beyond his scope, he has excellent subcontractors to do the work.  I also like the fact that he will do small jobs as well as big ones.  Often the good contractors only want to certain jobs and won't call you back on the little stuff.  Gary is not like that.  As you can imagine he is quite popular so he can get booked up sometimes but once he commits to a completion date, you can count on it.
Best of luck to you in your contractor search.  In my opinion you should put Gary on your short list.  I think that you will be pleased.
