I waited several weeks to write this comment after changing veterinarians. I did not want to write a review based on my reaction that Morganna Animal Clinic kept a file on me without my knowledge. This review needs to be about the care of my pet. We brought our dogs for care at Morganna Animal Clinic in Manassas for over 20 years. The last visit was for a follow-up visit of a Grand-Mal seizure, which cost me over $500. During the COVID-19 crisis to reduce the number of visits to the pharmacy, I asked for the vet to call in the prescription. Morganna was reluctant to call the phenobarbital prescription and the antibiotic prescription into the local pharmacy. I was told by the pharmacist the prescriptions could be called in. After my repeated insistence, Morganna finally called in the prescription. My pet was sleeping more and appeared lethargic, I was hoping the vet would talk about alternatives. They re-prescribed Phenobarbital. Fortunately, during the conversation I found out about the hidden notes. As a result, based on my unwillingness to do business with a company who writes hidden information about me, I looked for another vet. The new vet gave my dog all of the yearly shots, provided a check-up, prescribed an antibiotic, called in the phenobarbital prescription for a total cost of about $150. A second visit to the same vet that included a blood test, a follow-up checkup, a consultation and a review of the blood test was around $150. Morganna charges $150 just for the blood test. What is more important the vet spent considerable time with me and told me about another drug Zonisamide, that does not have the same lethargic side effects of sleeping. After talking with the pharmacist, she also confirmed that many vets are prescribing Zonisamide. I said it was fortunate, that I forced myself to change from a vet I routinely used to a vet that provided more detailed information, that improved my pet’s quality of life, at a drastically reduced cost. This was not the first issue, there were a problem when we changed dog food, Morganna wanted us to buy more expensive dog food, the real solution was to return back to the previous dog food. We were learned from a specialty vet when our dog had skin allergies, they could be caused by the dog food. This was not passed on to us by Morganna. Even though Morganna says they will recommend that you can buy prescriptions at other stores for a lower cost, they did not tell us until we asked. It is your choice; you may want to consider if it is best to be comfortable with Morganna or can your pet receive better care elsewhere. I want to thank Morganna for the transfer of over 10 years of records to my pet’s current vet at no charge; this is the reason I increased the rating. My pet is having a better quality of life with the new vet. I greatly appreciate the friendlier interaction that provides us with more thorough information at a reduced cost.

I don't think I'd select Morganna again. They are conveniently located in Manassas and had availability over a busy weekend which is what led me to reserve there. I also read decent reviews of their boarding so decided to give it a shot. That's where the positives ended for me. The negatives: - I faxed my dog's records over about 5 days before our "check in". I didn't hear about any problem with the records until I arrived to drop my dog off. I was then informed that my dog needed an additional shot for canine influenza (separate from parainfluenza). I'd had a chat with the person I spoke with when reserving about the vaccine needs and was told the parainfluenza (as part of the bordatella vaccine) was ok. But the story was different when I arrived. They still accepted my dog for boarding (I suppose they could have turned her away and left me in a real bind) but charged me $40 for the shot. I think they may have also charged me for a brief exam with the shot but I can't remember. - There was a lot of nickel and diming on boarding. My dog gets a medication dropped into her food every day. There was a $4 charge for that each day. Not unreasonable as medicine charges go but slightly annoying when the medicine just gets dropped into food. There's no wrestling her to give her pills. It's something she's had to take for years so she's used to it. - I'd asked for a nail trim. My dog apparently flipped out when they tried to trim her nails. Upon pick up I was told they'd clipped just the front but not the back. When I looked at her feet, they'd done one paw. But they charged me full price. - For 3 nights (4 days) of boarding (with the shot and the medicine and the nail clip) my bill was well over $200. My dog weights 95 lbs so being a bigger dog the charges are usually high but this seemed pretty steep for the services. - Finally for me and the biggest reason I won't go back, when I picked up my dog she had scabs on her elbows and in her fur and she smelled terribly of urine. I'm not sure what happened and I suppose her elbow areas could have gotten scabby from lying on concrete but I was mad to find her in that condition. Her attitude seemed fine so I wasn't worried she'd been hit or exposed to other dogs who roughed her up but still, she shouldn't have been in that condition after only a few days. She's 6 yrs old, house broken and has no problem holding it for 10+ hours so I question what situation caused her to have so many scabs and to lay in urine. Overall, I'm going to take her somewhere where I know she'll receive better care. I know it's a kennel and there's a good chance my dog will come home dirty but everything together makes me want to pick a different place next time.

He had actually ear infection. lot of times I have to wait so we usually don not get taken in right away which can be a problem when you have an anxious animal.

I waited one hour and 15 minutes to be called back.  My previous appt back in May 2015, I waited an hour to be called back.
During this visit on 11/14/2015, people arrived after me and were called back before me.  Not one person in the office alerted me upon arrival that they were backed up and there would be a wait.  Not one person apologized for the wait or thanked people for their patience.  After the visit I asked why there was such a long wait and was told that they were backed up and something about how many doctors were working.  I also inquired as to why people were called back before me who arrived after.  I was told that I arrived early for my appt and the one person I specifically asked about had an appt before me.  So I said she was late then.  I arrived at 10:10am for a 10:15am appt and the woman with the hound arrived around 10:30am and therefore if her appt was before mine, then she was late.  It was just one excuse after another.  I really like Dr. Fuller and I drive 25 mins one way to come to Morganna.  However, with the attitude of the staff and the long wait ( my dogs didn't even get to see Dr. Fuller this time) I asked for the medical records and stated I would need to find another vet because I could not come and wait an hour or more for my dogs to be seen for each visit.  During this whole time not one apology.  If someone would have apologized I can assure you it would have diffused the situation and my dogs would be going back to Morgana.  I do not understand why they book so many appts knowing they do not have the staff to accomodate.

Their office staff is very professional.  They're very good at getting back to you when you have emergencies or if you call them with a question.  All of the staffs there are very knowledgeable.  Sometimes there is a long wait.

I was really pleased that they dealt with my dog that had got an ear infection and treated it. They seemed to really care. I think its an older clinic so like you do not have newer rooms but they are very friendly and I felt very good about it when I went there. They seemed reasonably priced.

They're really personable. When I first adopted my dog, he had some health issues. I found this clinic was highly rated online, so I tried their services. Their prices are better and I can always get an appointment in a timely manner. I also like that they have the kennel right there, and I feel good leaving him there when I travel -- if something happens, the vet is available.

I've used this vet since moving to Manassas. The building is a lot smaller and looks a bit less modern than the vet I went to in Maryland, but the staff is very friendly and the doctors were great. Very easy to talk to and communicated information and instructions very clearly. A little expensive, but I'm going to stick with them. Overall very happy with their service.

Very compassionate and gentle with my dogs. They explained everything clearly and very promptly gave me the results for the heart worm testing. They Are thorough, and always have the dogs' welfare as their priority.

I also made our appt for boarding in July at this time!

We had a wonderful experience with Dr Fuller and staff. They were courteous, professional and attentive. Dr Fuller followed up with a personal call after our visit. Definitely will return for another visit and regular care.

It was horrible.  We told the Vet that this dog was a shelter dog and came to us with a very, very, very bad set of teeth or lack thereof.  We adopted the dog because no one else would foot the costs of fixing her mouth.  We took her to the Vet the animal Shelter uses as soon as we adopted her to be Spayed and a dental performed.  A few teeth were pulled and she was spayed.  She only had a few teeth left in that were not as bad.  We were told to re-visit the vet in one year.  One year later, we took her to this vet where we took our dachshunds.  It's not too far of a drive and while not the most pleasant crew to deal with, they were very reasonable with the prices.
At any rate, they did not bother to verify that she was a shelter dog that came to us with a very bad set of teeth (or lack thereof) and proceeded to blame her mouth on our care for one year.  We feed her Blue hard dog food and use Dental Fresh additive to her water which must have caused her 10 years of normal rot in one year.  I'm being sarcastic of course.  At any rate, we were to purchase a dachshund and had her call to get information on our dog's vaccines.  The nasty office staff and vet sabotaged the purchase by telling the seller that we had neglected our beagle (the one that came from the shelter).  The seller would not even return any  further of our phone calls after she spoke to our "vet" and nasty office staff.  When we called the Vet to find-out what exactly they told the seller, they became defensive and nasty on the phone.  So, we visited the vet and severed our ties with this place.
It's funny how we save a dog from being euthenized to take-on the dog's large health expenses and get blamed for her 10 years of mis-care prior to getting her.  We've spent almost $2,000 on this dog now.  This vet is HORRIBLE place to visit if you've adopted a shelter dog.  Don't bother as they will condem you for the pet's previous ailments.

My dogs were very happy to see me when I returned to pick them up after boarding for 2 weeks, and I could tell by the way the staff interacted with them that they had been well cared for. I will definitely use them again!

After going to another vet in the area for over 15 years and experiencing the service and care for my animals go down dramatically as the prices went up dramatically, I decided a change was in order to properly care for the health of my animals.  After I read the reviews and asked friends who go to Morganna their opinions, I decided to give this practice a try.
I am so glad I switched vets.  I feel that my dogs are truly being cared for in their best interests and not just the interests of my checkbook.  I appreciated all of the attentiveness of the staff, the comfortable atmosphere and the knowledgeable and kind doctors who examined my pets.
I only wish I had switched vets years ago.

These folks are the most caring wonderful people in the world. At one point I had a very sick cat and my husband was also very sick. Dr Fuller took the time to talk to me and helped guide me in figuring out what to do for my cat. When my dog Tessa got poisoned with rat poison 2 years ago, Dr Fuller saved her life. My husband is handicapped and when he brings the dogs to Morganna, the staff always comes out to help him so that they don't get away and get hurt. I recommend Morganna to people all of the time!

This is a veternarian I always highly recommend to anyone who asks. The staff are all great, the prices are low for this area. The thing that impressed me the most was how easily they trimmed my cat's nails, since she normally puts up a huge fight. I've never used this clinic for surgery or an emergancy procedure but I would in a heartbeat!

We have been using Morgana since we moved to Manassas 8 years ago. Dr Fuller, Dr Moreland, and the entire staff are absolutley the best! The amount of love they have for the animals is the reason we keep going. They also have a great deal of compassion for the pet Mommy and Daddys. Going to the vet can be a stressful situation but the staff works very hard to put the pets at ease. I reccomend them to everyone!
