Honest repair people are hard to find. Lou, the owner, runs an honest business and I trust their advice and judgement. I've only had good experiences during my three year relationship with them. Charles and Lou have a lot of knowledge and heart. Specifically what they did, I bought three types of vacuums and had two of them service and repaired.

Our old carpet steamer broke; it was in heavy use, and it was old. With a four-pet and one kid household, we decided that we needed a new steam carpet cleaner, but we didn't have $300 for the top of the line cleaners. The owner of Manassas Vacuum offered several options, was polite, helpful and friendly as he described the differences between the brands and models. We decided on a lightly-used Hoover that a previous customer had returned when they had to move out of state. When I went to pick it up after work, the owner showed me how to use it, but discovered that it was a bit dirty, and he didn't want to sell it to me until he had cleaned it up. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to get there until after closing the following day. No problem, the owner would stay open late for me. My husband ended up picking up the machine. The owner gave him a complete tutorial on how to use the machine, the strengths and weak spots of this particular model, and several tips and tricks. Along with this, we got a complete owner's manual and total 2-year warranty on parts and service. The price was right, the owner went above and beyond to sell us the machine that best fit our needs, and to help us get the most out of it for many years to come. The machine works great, we are happy satisfied customers, and we will be recommending Manassas Vacuum to all our friends and neighbors.

Pleasant, professional, friendly and LOCAL. They are awesome. They also sell refurbished cleaners and supplies. They took time to get to know me and my needs. I wasn't just "dollar signs" to them. I was a person, who manages a home. I have been recommending them to friends and family ever since.

The owner was very friendly and eager to help. He was very knowledgeable and described in detail all of the internal parts that may be worn or in need of replacement. The store was well stocked with all the parts needed for our vacuum cleaner. We were provided with an accurate estimate of cost up front and the owner asked if we lived nearby, or if we were going to be shopping in the area, as the service would be finished in 90 minutes. This was very convenient as the vacuum was ready and waiting when we returned 90 minutes later on our way home. Two weeks later, the power switch became stuck and we took our vacuum cleaner back to Manassas Vacuum. The owner said that there would be no charge, even if there was a major problem, as we recently had it serviced by him. He described some of the potential causes of the malfunction and said he had the parts on hand if needed. He called 30 minutes later as we were shopping nearby and said it was fixed and ready to be picked up. We will certainly use Manassas Vacuum again to keep our Kirby in tip top shape.

Manassas Vacuum (also called NOVA Vacuum) did a great thorough job. They replaced defective cord with Kirby part cord and did an expert cleaning job. Without additional cost, the roller was replaced. The cleaning service included a new fan kit too. Job was done in a day. From phone call of knowing the details of our 12-year old Kirby, talking through what needs to be done on phone and costs, expertly discussing in store, and completing the job on time the next day, this repair shop will definitely be used by us in the future. Costs also matched estimate previous day.
