decisions such as selecting the tile for the floor or details such as vanities and fixtures, I always received great support and information from the Lensis Builders project personnel.
Tony (who did the actual work) took pride in his work and was able to identify minor improvements on the original design throughout the
construction process. These improvements were very much appreciated and contributed greatly to the overall value I got out of the project.
Tony was very respectful of my home; he left the workspace clean and neat at the end of each day, and I appreciated his consideration and professionalism.
Like my kitchen, I am extremely happy with my new bathroom and dressing area.
The workmen were especially diligent in their work. We had a few things that had to be adjusted but that goes with a remodeling.
Their attention to detail and professionalism were great. I was home for most of the work and have to say Joe and Kenney are their best workers. They saw my vision for the layout and made sure that I was happy with each job. I would use them for anything that I wanted to repair or add onto the house. Thw craftmanship, the personality of the workmen actually at times made this fun for me. On occasion I would pitch in just to learn show new skills and I appreciate their skill sets. Defintely recommend them for anything you would like to do. I especially enjoyed the fruit bouquet that arrived today as a small thank you gift.
While the insurance company was processing the claim, Rich Lensis came out to survey the damage. He was thorough in his inspection of the property, and took a great deal of time with me to explain the extent of the damage and of the necessary repairs. I felt confident in him from the very start and decided to work with him, and I'm glad that I did.
I contracted with him to perform the work, and Rich's crew began work almost immediately. Rich knew that the entire back room was in delicate enough shape that it could have completely collapsed at any time. He also knew that the house - including the floorboards and foundation of the addition, and the roof and rafters of the main house - was susceptible to further damage. Despite the fact that the insurance company took far, far too long to process an initial payment of the claim, Rich went above and beyond, tearing down the remnants of the damaged structure and protecting the roof and foundation from further damage - and doing so well before he had received any funds from the insurance company. Had he not done this, it is possible that further damage would have been done by rain, snow, cold, or falling debris.
I have finally moved back into the house. The re-built room was very well done, and is in many ways better than it was before. Rich was very patient throughout as I dealt with problems from the insurance company. He was also very thorough in responding to questions, and very easy to reach when I had questions. I always felt like I had a good idea of the next steps in the project.
I appreciate Rich and his team for helping me through what could have been a very difficult reconstruction project, and for helping me get back in my home as soon as was humanly possible. I would highly recommend Lensis Builders.
and assessed our need and within one week after that he provided our
first CAD drawing of the possible work to be done in the kitchen. We were totally satisfied with the drawings and await financing to have the work done.
It seemed like it would never be completed, although it was really only 6 weeks. The subs that came in on the job were all excellent. The carpenter, John, was a magnificent craftsman. We appreciate the details of his work every day we use our bath and closet area. There were some major type of issues - the granite sink counter, holes for the faucets, and space to fit it into did not quite work. Frankly we just quietly prayed that there would be a solution. Things came together with workers finding options they had not thought of. Nothing cracked, all the patterns matched, and everything fit. The holes in the shower tile for the fixtures were too big, not covered by the fixtures we had chosen. At first it was felt they would have to tear out all the tile, which would cause major issues to the water sealing coatings underneath etc. An answer was found that only entailed getting different fixtures. Still an expense, but not nearly as much as thought initially and certainly entailed no potential damage.
We have been extremely happy with our remodel. The handicap bars actually look like towel bars - very attractive. The space and design work beautifully.
I could not be more pleased with my kitchen. They did a beautiful job.
Richard was also able to put us in contact with a great HVAC company to handle our new furnace and central air unit.
I remember coming home to installed cabinets one day and telling the workmen, "Oh... you are just my favorite people today!" I absolutely love my new kitchen... the remodel has made the ENTIRE first floor more functional. Whereas before I had so little space that I was doing food prep on my dining room table and storing my dishes on my bookshelf, now I have enough cabinet space to put everything away, and enough counter space to bake and cook dinner at the same time. What was once essentially a one-person kitchen now comfortably fits at least three cooking together, and I finally have a dishwasher!
The addition is just as wonderful. I love my utility sink, the washer and dryer are easily accessible, and they installed a cat door for us. Our furnace and hot water heater are now tucked away in a closet behind bi-fold doors and I even have a little storage in there for my husband's tools. The casement window they installed is beautiful and makes the whole room so airy and bright that it is a pleasure to work in there.
